PrintNot because of the champions. Because of abundance of good challengers: Sergio Martinez, Alex Bunema, Alfredo Angulo, Joel "Love Child" Julio, James Kirkland, John Duddy, Ronald Hearns, Vanes Martirosyan, Joe Greene, Deandre Latimore, Julie Cesar Chavez Jr.
The champs are a bit boring: Vernon Forrest, Daniel Santos, Verno Phillips, and Sergei Dzindziruk. Can't imagine a unification that would be interesting.
But the challengers are exceptional, and all are in their 20s except for Martinez. Keep your eye on this division.

You are right it is a very impressive field of young prospects. Right now it sucks. No one wants to see Spinks. No one wants to fight Santos. Phillips shouldn’t be champ but I can forgive him given who he beat from. I can’t wait for the next 2 to 3 years and see how Julio,Kirkland, Angulo, and Latimore come out.
I don’t put Latimore near the rest of those guys. Sechew Powell is just a moron.
