Smiles All Around???

Don’t get me wrong here Bad Left Hook Nation but let’s turn those smiles upside down… These two pugilists are undeniable talents in the Boxing Game, however they for the sake of their wallets must learn how to better promote themselves in future upcoming battles. So to Cristian Mijares and Vic Darchinyan, keep swinging and save the teeth ; | …

Well they are getting Showtime to air the fight and that in itself is worthy to smile about. I am sure they are getting over 250K each. A few years ago they would not be able to be seen on American TV except as filler at the start of a PPV. It is a good style match up. A classic boxer vs a crude slugger is always something to smile about.

well years ago

This would have been exactly the type of fight that Boxing After Dark went after, hard. They would’ve put this bad boy on TV. Don’t forget that B.A.D. made a lot of big time careers happen in America, including Barrera and Morales. Then it kind of turned into crap, but thankfully they’re sort of getting back to the original idea.

Showtime deserves real props for making this fight happen and giving it a TV home. Great matchup, and two guys that deserve to fight on TV. I’m no Darchinyan fan, but I respect his machismo.

HBO didn’t want anything to do with this fight. I heard that they weren’t interested in fighter this small.

Maybe. I got the impression it was more that they had no dates for the fight.

NESB...

No little man promotes a fight better than Darchinyan, unless its Arce. He hasn’t shut up about how he’s gonna put Mijares in Hospice for 2 straight months. Could there possibly be any more bad blood between these two? What do you want from this man?

It's not the size of the dog... It's whats in the fight of Bernard Hopkins! -BHOP
