Alexander Povetkin pulls out of Klitschko fight

According to Dan Rafael, Alexander Povetkin injured his left foot after tripping on a tree root.  Rafael goes on to say that Wladimir Klitschko will still fight on Dec. 13 with Cristobal Arreola as one of the leading candidates.  Arreola would have to ditch his B.A.D. fight in order to get destroyed by Klitschko.  Other possible candidates include Alexander Dimitrenko, Oleg Maskaev, and Hasim Rahman.

Addition by SC:

That's too bad, but, well, whatever. Klitschko-Povetkin will happen sometime in 2009, I'm sure. As much as I like Chris Arreola, I hope he's smart enough to say, "You know what? Not yet." Dimitrenko, at 6'7", seems like the most interesting idea of the names mentioned, at least to me.

really, guys?

Rahman? You’re interested in a two-round blowout or 12 rounds of Klitschko jabbing?

Arreola

I’d rather see Arreola than any of these other dudes

Arreola would last maybe four rounds

That’s my only concern. He needs to fight someone a little better than Israel Garcia or Chazz Witherspoon to be ready to fight a guy like Klitschko, who is better than him in every single way. I think Dimitrenko’s size is an interesting matchup.

Chris is busy late in November, how is that date even possible. The money I guess. That’s throwing him to the dogs early, but who knows this seems to be the year of upsets.

he'd give up the 11/29 date

For way more money and a way bigger fight than Travis Walker.

I think the best fight that can be made would be vs Valuev. We don’t need to see Evander get get battered and bruised again. Honestly both fighters should be pushing for this fight to top off a great year in boxing. We would get another heavyweight unification. Yeah… Valuev has an interim belt but in my eyes he is a legit champ.

Valuev

Zocalo i would love to see it as well but Valuevs camp have said it will take two month to organise. Besides Evander needs the money….might be able to buy some nodders to attach to himself so he can breed less. And i would like Valuev to take a fall. Nothing against the guy i just want to see someone knock him over. He could wreck the ring!! i wanna see it

Eddie Chambers..

Whats he doing? Rahman & Maskaev no one wants to see that shit.
I voted for Arreola-maybe he would be ok in a ill hit you before you hit me kind of fight- Wlad cant fight inside, im thinking Chris could get in there…

I'd rather see the Arreola-Walker winner

But the only feasible replacement is Rahman. Everyone else in the IBF top 10 already has a fight scheduled elsewhere.

Vogt early, Vogt often.
