HBO certainly loves to ignore the undercard, I’ll give them that.

Out on a limb.....
Wladimir by KO in the 6th round after being knockdown in that same round. Exciting, isn’t it? Ah, that knockdown might happen in the first round; at least the likelihood of a knockdown by Rahman would happen in the first. Lol…

I honestly think Rahman has a puncher's chance
Which means I’m giving him a 7% shot to win this fight.

Klitschko-Rahman R1
Rahman comes out fighting low, which his now ex-trainer said was the goal. Rock is shooting the jab at the midsection, then getting out. Jab from Wlad. Stiff one backs Rahman up. Hard jab from Wlad. Klitschko is tossing the left hook, too. Just missed that left hook. Rahman’s defense doesn’t look…good.
Rock is still shooting the jab downstairs. Klitschko backs him up again. Wlad tries a 1-2 but doesn’t find it. And that time it works. Rahman felt that right hand. Well there’s already been more action than the Ibragimov fight.
Left hook from Wlad, and a right to the stomach. Rahman is hanging onto him as the round ends.
Klitschko 10-9

Klitschko-Rahman R2
I just don’t get what Rock’s defensive gameplan is. He’s going to get drilled sooner than later it looks like. Rahman is diving into Klitschko and not really fighting much. Looking kinda lame duck-ish right now.
Wlad popping with the jab. Slower round, sort of. Rahman just isn’t throwing punches, and Klitschko, as always, fights up or down to his opponent. Stiff right from Wladimir. Rahman with slow lead rights, easily avoided. And they tussle to the bell.
Klitschko 10-9
Klitschko 20-18

Rahman should continue to pressure Wladimir.
That’s probably the only chance he has. Rahman could also sneak a straight right hand every once in a blue moon.

Klitschko-Rahman R3
Rahman backs himself into the ropes about 35 seconds in, which is not a good idea. The jab is bothering him, which Lennox notes, and now Rock’s just STANDING THERE ON THE ROPES. This is goofy. Wlad is standing there and choosing when to punch. Rahman is DOING NOTHING but standing there. And he goes there again. What the hell is he doing?
Man, this is a bizarre strategy. There is something positive to be said for the idea but he’s just standing there and covering up. He does try to throw back a couple times at least. What a weird ass round for Rahman.
And now he finally comes off the ropes and starts throwing, but Wlad just stays away from him and moves around the ring. Left hook blocked by the gloves. And the round ends.
Klitschko 10-9
Klitschko 30-27

Klitschko-Rahman R4
Klitschko keeps working off the jab. Rahman keeps looking tired. This is why people hate heavyweight boxing. I really wish Wladimir had more of a killer instinct. It’s obvious he could storm this guy and take him out. I get why he doesn’t do it, but goddamn.
The fight is what it is. Klitschko is much better than Rahman.

Klitschko-Rahman R5
And the round starts with a Wlad jab.
Left hook lands, and again, straight right is blocked. And then the rest of the round starts playing out like the rest have. Wladimir throws a few, lands one or two, and Rahman stands around and then misses a couple.
BIG right from Wladimir stings Rahman. He’s really loading up on that 1-2. The round ends with Lennox deciding he’s better than Wladimir Klitschko.

Klitschko-Rahman R6
And down goes Rahman about 20 seconds into the round on a left-right. He takes his time getting up.
And Wladimir presses him to the ropes after Rock gets up. Rock ducks a left hook. When Wlad stops storming and Rock just lays on the ropes some more, Max goes back to fellating Lennox.
Big right from Wlad. About 40 seconds left until I figure Buddy decides to call it, baby, it ain’t there, baby, he’s gonna call it, baby, he loves him too much, baby.
Rahman has landed 0 punches in this round says the graphic. Horrible. Absolutely horrible. This is a 10-8 round with knockdown, and the fact that Rahman literally did nothing makes it a 10-7.
Klitschko 10-7
Klitschko 60-52

Hurrld is nicer than me, just scoring it 10-8.
Wlad combos up, Rock wobbles and heads to the ropes. LEFT HOOK! And another shot, and Tony Weeks just fucking ends it. Enough Rahman now.

since they’re showing the oscar manny replay. its amazing that oscar never even got close enough to just kinda test mannys chin. truly amazing performance by manny, and i mean by manny i refuse to chalk that win up to oscar simply not having “it” anymore. manny dominated him completely and needs to get his credit for that.
