ALERT! ALERT! HIDDEN CHANGES IN OSCAR-PACMAN UNDERCARD FIGHT.

lopezJuanMaCara

Rumor has it or had it that the televised HBO PPV event between DLH and Pacman was not going to show the Juanma Lopez-Sergio Medina fight. The rumor is wrong, obviously. However, about 20 minutes ago I was listening to the radio station from Puerto Rico and they have a reporter in Las Vegas. The reporter expressed the rumor and acknowledges that it is false; nonetheless, HBO has a schedule fight right after the Lopez-Medina fight just in case the fight becomes another first rounder for Lopez. According to the reporter, he stated:

HBO is afraid that the fight might become another first round finish for Juanma Lopez and has a schedule fight just in case the fight is over so soon. The reason for this is to continue their programming until HBO's complete schedule time.

Although this might just be rumors, it is pretty interesting how HBO is suddenly stepping up to the plate.

There’s a really good chance that Juanma, Ortiz and Jacobs all finish within three rounds or so. Ortiz is the only guy I see going too far; Medina’s record is bullshit and Lopez’s power is nasty enough to cave Ponce de Leon in one round.

If they do need to bump another fight up, hey, Danny Garcia’s fighting a bum.

clarify

Ortiz is the only guy I see going too far

I mean he’s the only guy I think MIGHT be pressed at all. I also don’t really think he will be.

It’s three mismatches and a main event, honestly.

It will be four mismatches for some

But I do agree. I can’t wait for 2009 in the 122 division though.
