Powell out for 60 days after testing positive for marijuana

PrintSechew Powell, the junior middleweight contender who was upset by Deandre Latimore last week, tested positive for marijuana in his post-fight drug test and is now suspended for 60 days. A few things pop into mind.
- So THAT'S what happened...
- How stupid can you be as a fighter? He's not the first one to test positive for marijuana, nor will he be the last. And whatever your stance is on marijuana and its effects, the fact is it's illegal. But it's also not that hard to not have it in your system. If high school basketball players can manage to skirt the system, Sechew Powell should be able to. Powell was begging for this suspension.
- What a dope!
- Powell also tested positive for Funyuns and Cheetos.
In all honesty, this speaks for a fighter that doesn't give a damn about his career, didn't take his opponent or his training seriously, and deserved to get the crap beaten out of him, which is exacty what happened. I hate that this slightly taints Latimore's victory, because Deandre earned it. Powell is a dingus.
