Mayweather fights bores me

Pound for pound? Naah.

Foot for foot? YaWhW

Star-divide

The fights bore me.

Imagine Mayweather against a boxer with same style?  A style where a boxer cares so much of his face that he forgets to box and remembers only to run and run.  A boxer who only prays during the fight that he lands a lucky punch in the course of his running.

Well, this would be contrary to boxing's meaning.  In this kind of boxing, the action is erased.  And so is the excitement.

So I wish to question Mayweather's being listed in the pound for pound list.  I wish to see a fight where he mixed it up well.  Please name one if you could to prove me wrong.

A boxer who adores his face while a fight is on-going is not a real pound for pound boxer.

I was never a Mayweather fan either until I watched him fight Hatton. Sure he dances around and runs a lot, but he connected on a lot of punches and in the end he KO’d him. As a boxing fan, I live for those types of KO’s.

Just my luck though—he retires as soon as I started enjoying his fights.

I always liked Floyd

“Running” is such a stupid phrase for boxing, unless it’s a guy like Derrick Gainer who really did run away. Mayweather avoids being hit. That’s a good portion of boxing. It’s not standing still and slugging. It’s not a Sega Genesis game.

Mayweather was (is) a tremendously accurate puncher who hit harder than most people gave him credit for.

Mayweather highly overrated

Although Mayweather beat an old De La Hoya, De La Hoya should still go down in history as a much better fighter. To his credit at least De La Hoya fought pretty much every good fighter and did not duck anybody unlike Mayweather. Now that there are some good credible fighters such as Margarito, Paul Williams, and Cotto , Mayweather decides to retire. What a chump! Who the heck is Hatton? Hatton beat a very old Tszu. The pretty boy will not even fight Mosley. Mayweather should go away and shut up, he will not be missed.
