Amir Khan vs Breidis Prescott
Before I have a bet on this fight, can I just ask if anyone else out there has an opinion on it?
I think Khan is weak defensively, has a poor chin, and will get found out by the first tough durable South American he faces, in the same way Prince Naseem did.
Question is, is Prescott that South American? Obviously he can bang, you don't get 14 of 19 opponents out in the first 3 if you can't punch, and 17 of 19 is a great KO percentage, esoecially in the lower weights.
Prescott is 9/1 with the bookies at the moment. I'm thinking of chucking a few quid that way.
Opinions please?

BEWARE UNHERALDED COLOMBIAN SLUGGERS™
I love Amir Khan and this fight scares the shit out of me. Willie Limond was able to canvas Amir, y’know? Prescott may not have the most notable wins in the world, but I’d wager my savings that he hits harder than Limond. If Amir can use his explosive offensive skills to overwhelm Prescott (which I’m betting is his plan, since Prescott has never faced a guy that can fight like Khan) he could take him out quick. But if Prescott tests his chin, things might could go awry.

Exactly my thoughts....
The way I see odds, (and I used to be involved in a crooked gambing ring, so I know a little) is that in essence, if you back an even money shot at 2/1 every day of your life, you will end up making money. It’s not about winning every time, it’s about winning at the right price. Prescott, in my mind, would win more than 1 in every ten fights with Khan. In my mind, he will win 1 in every 3 or 4 at worst, making him more of a 7/2 shot. At best, he is a slight favourite, and as you said SC, the bookies are basing prices on their ability to make money, not necessarily picking winners. Either way, I see 9/1 as massive value, and unless anyone can tell me something about Prescott I don’t already know, then I can’t see any reason not to have a bit of my hard-earned cash that way.

I bet as well
I’m not amazing or anything but i definitely win more than I lose.
Anyways . . . 9 outta 10 times, the smarter boxer end up beating the guy who just goes for the KO.
My money would go on Khan 100% but I don’t bet on fights that are that lopsided

Prescott is slow
and looked overmatched at times against a late replacement in his last fight. Anyone with a modicum of strength has a puncher’s chance against Khan, but I’m not sure he has the skill set to get far enough into the fight to actually hurt Khan.
