Warren wants to make Barrera-Arthur

British promoter Frank Warren is looking to make a fight between interim WBO super featherweight titleholder Alex Arthur and the recently-unretired Marco Antonio Barrera. This would hinge, of course, on Arthur beating Nicky Cook later today in Manchester.

"If Alex does win this fight, I am going to do my best to bring Barrera over and I will try and bring it to Scotland. So he has some big opportunities there if he comes through."

Arthur is a tough guy and a very entertaining fighter, and he'd be a super comeback opponent for Barrera, though Marco Antonio is coming back at 135, which would be a step up for Arthur.

Right now, most rumors are that Barrera could be coming back on Don King's big November 7 card in Macau, a card running in conjunction with the WBC gathering and also featuring an Andrew Golota fight, which will not be with Shannon Briggs.
