• There will be American television coverage of Vitali Klitschko's heavyweight title defense against mandatory challenger Juan Carlos Gomez on March 21 in Stuttgart, Germany. The bout will air live on ESPN at 5 p.m. ET, ESPN boxing programming director Doug Loughrey said. Klitschko's team had been approached about putting the bout on pay-per-view in the United States, but elected to take less money for far wider exposure on ESPN.

Sounds good.
Too bad they couldn’t get it to air on a major network, but I’ll take ESPN for sure. This might actually be a good fight. Gomez is as skilled as any top level HW out there (even though he is out of shape), and I’m still not convinced about how good Vitali looks when he doesn’t just have an immovable object standing in front of him.
Vogt early, Vogt often.
sweet!
Another hat tip to ESPN. I agree with Brick, too — this could actually be a good, competitive fight.
"I was trying to rob him. And he took my gun from me. And the gun was full of blanks. And he shot a blank into my eye. And now I cannot see from this eye ever again, the doctors say."
"Well to be honest it sounds like it's all your fault."
I would doubt it, honestly
They’re pretty lazy about HD at ESPN if it’s not the NFL, MLB or NBA.

I am glad that they picked up the fight. I am surprised that it is going to be on regular ESPN instead of classic. I believe last year ESPN Classic got the rights to the O’biel/Adamek fight that was overseas. It is sure to be better than most if not all the Waldamir fights that have been on HBO which were grossly overpaid for.
