R.A. The Rugged Man gets to tell Floyd what a lot of boxing fans wish they could

RA's blog post explaining what happened:  http://www.xxlmag.com/online/?p=61084

Audio:  http://www.zshare.net/audio/676796581a1c2a9e/

Basically RA who's a huge boxing fan was on Shade 45 and the interview turned to boxing. He expressed his disappointment in the direction of Floyd's career since the Corrales fight.  Floyd heard the interview and called in.  The audio is about 21 minutes but it's well worth listening to the whole conversation. Every excuse that Floyd throws out there R.A. shuts down.  He might be an ok rapper but his combination of boxing knowledge and quick wit make this a classic!  Especially when they start talking about what will happen to Floyd's legacy if he doesn't start fighting the best.

Floyd makes it very clear that his primary concern is with money, not his legacy. Sad.

It's a little funny you would say that

when your signature is “Just call me the profit”. That made me smile. Then again I am still a bit drunk from last night so I’m easily amused right now…

oh my signature is a poke at myself because I correctly predicted something and then said call me the profit but meant prophet. see? I’m dumb.

That was one of the best things ive heard for awhile. Boxers are surrounded by people that boost them up so when they walk into that ring they feel unbeatable, as they should do cause thats how they pull themselfs through and big deep in bad situations to come out with a win. The unfortunate thing is for the people like Floyd who buy their own brand. It’s a fine line to feeling confident and being arrogant. There are to many people telling him how great he is, how big he is and no-one close to say look you are great but you need to do this for fight him etc.
Would boxing die without Floyd? Hell no. There may well be a bad spot but just like all the other big stars that have come through the sport there will be another one and all the rest will continue to fight and please us fans.

I can’t believe how bad Mayweather sounds in that clip. Anyone who thinks he’s misunderstood because of the media filter – that’s Floyd unfiltered, and he sounds horrible.

Just wow

That’s incredible

Epic…

"Boxing is dirty," said Casamayor. " The day I’m not ready to be a dirty fighter is the day I don’t fight anymore because it will mean that I have no heart for it anymore."

Floyd is an insecure guy. This just proves it further.

Props to RA the Rugged Man!! Great interview, and even when he gave Floyd credit, Floyd couldn’t handle it. He kept making ridiculous statements. Floyd your time is coming soon and I’m going to be pumped up when you’re starched out like RJJ was. Nobody likes an a$$hole, Floyd.

This is priceless

I was hoping for some clapping at some point, but there was some good nuggets in there as well. Will try to interject “Why you riding my dick?” into my everyday vernacular.

“If I leave boxing, the sport will die!” Oh come on Money. You’re big, but you’re not bigger than boxing.

It sure did die while he was “gone,” didn’t it? Everyone struggled to put together major fights!
