Freddie Roach puts Edwin Valero at number 4, could be number 1 in 2010

Freddie Roach was quoted as saying that he ranks Manny Pacquiao at the number one pound for pound fighter in the world. That came as no surprise after the assault that Manny Pacquiao put on the boxing world the last two years. The surprise was that Roach put Valero at number four.http://www.examiner.com/x-8557-Norfolk-Boxing-Examiner~y2009m10d30-Freddie-Roach-puts-Edwin-Valero-at-number-4-could-be-number-1-in-2010

I’ve got high expectations on Valero if he ever fights in the US again.

Until I see his chin tested… I can’t give into the hype.

"Boxing is dirty," said Casamayor. " The day I’m not ready to be a dirty fighter is the day I don’t fight anymore because it will mean that I have no heart for it anymore."

I can’t give into the hype until he stops breaking the law in every country. Seriously the list of countries this man can compete in growing smaller by the day. Valero and Japanese super boy need to fight for best fighter who won’t come close to touching the USA.

It's in Roach's interest to hype up Valero

He knows that Arum wants to set up a Valero-Pacquiao fight eventually. And Valero claims he actually has a clause in his contract where he can leave Arum if he hasn’t fought Pacquiao within a certain amount of time.
