We'll see if I can grab this one

It’s a fight I want to see anyway, so no biggie to RBR it. But if I can’t find it, I’ll probably just delete the thread.

If you can find it

I’d love to have the feed. The Golota v. Adamek fight was on Polsat and was maybe the best feed I’ve ever viewed.

Abdoul is a boring fighter with an iron chin. Only guy before Valuev to go the distance with Haye. Step up for Hutkowski, who’s 15-0 but has yet to fight anyone worth a lick.

Krzysztof Diablo Diablo Diablo Wlodarczyk vs. Konstantin Semerdjiev

Konstantin is 27-11-2 with 4 KO losses, and Diablo is a big puncher, so an early KO wouldn’t surprise me.

Diablo-Konstantin Rd 1

Konstantin comes out aggressive, moving forward behing a high guard with his held down low. Diablo is moving backwards and throwing nice 1-2 combinations and a few jabs to keep Konstantin off of him. Konstantin looks kinda like Charlie from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, so it doesn’t LOOK like this will be competitive. I’ll just call this guy Charlie from now on, because it’s easier to type.

Diablo with a hard jab that snaps Charlie’s head back. Charlie laying off a bit more now. He rushes in, but doesn’t really throw anything and Diablo catches him with a jab on the way in. Things slow down towards the end of the round.

Diablo-Charlie Rd 2

Charlie tries to rush in and Diablo catches him with a jab. Partly from the jab and partly from his own clumsy momentum, Charlie falls down, and it’s called a knockdown. Charlie tries to work inside and DIablo catches him with a nice uppercut. Charlie’s trying really hard, and he’s hitting Diablo some now, but his punches are all on the pitty patty side, and Diablo just no longer seems that concerned with defense.

Diablo stalking forward, moving behind a jab. Charlie keeps trying to duck the jab and run in, but it’s not very effective. Diablo gets Charlie on the inside, lands a few good body shots and a bit of a rabbit punch, and the ref inexplicably breaks up the fighters who were a good foot away from each other. Diablo really controlling things now. Charlie just doesn’t have any answers here.

Diablo-Charlie Rd 3

Diablo back to stalking forward behind a jab. Left hook by Diablo. A couple of 1-2 combinations seem to stun Charlie a bit. Charlie seems as clueless as any 40 fight veteran I can remember seeing lately. He just clumsily rushes forward and just keeps his gloves up and doesn’t throw punches when he tries to mount an offense, and half the time Diablo catches him when he does this anyway.

Charlie finally gets on the inside and unloads some nice body shots, but he pops right back out as if this is a sparring session and he’s just trying to help Diablo get some work in. Diablo goes back to what he’d been doing the rest of the fight, and ends the round with a four punch combimation.

Diablo-Charlie Round 4

Both guys taking the round a bit lightly so far. Finally, Diablo starts throwing about 6 jabs, and nails Charlie with a long range uppercut that snaps Charlie’s head back. Charlie’s starting to get a mouse around his left eye. Diablo is 100% in control of this one, and looks like he’s taking his morning jog or something.

Pace slows again in the second half of the round, and I don’t think Charlie threw a punch for about a minute there.

Diablo-Charlie Rd 5

Charlie seems frustrated. He attempts to tackle Diablo, and pushes him back about 10 feet like an offensive line dummy, but Diablo stays on his feet and the ref breaks them up. Diablo backing up a bit, throwing the jab, looking for openings for his right uppercut, which has been his best punch tonight. Diablo seems to be getting frustrated that he hasn’t knocked this guy out, and he’s getting a bit more reckless when he gets inside.

Round 6

Diablo moves in and has a nice 4 punch combo to the body. Charlie seems to be getting more brave about letting his hands go again. Charlie is now just circling backwards without throwing punches, and Diablo is moving forward behind the jab again. Charlie gets stuck on the ropes, and Diablo rips him to the body with three shots. Diablo gets him stuck in the corner for a second, but he can’t take advantage and Charlie runs out of there at the first opportunity. Diablo with a couple of strong hooks to close out the round.

Diablo-Charlie Round 7

Charlie’s left eye has a cut over it as well now. Diablo is moving forward still, but he’s mixing up some straights and hooks as lead shots instead of just the jab. Charlie up on the ropes and Diablo hist him with a few jabs. Charlie with a clumsy right hook that Diablo easily ducks under.

Diablo still moving forward, but none of his punches seem to have much consequence. Charlie is just keeping his guard up high now and blocking everything that comes in above the waist. Diablo with a good left hook that gets in there to close our the round.

I realize the result is a foregone conclusion, but I’d really like to see Diablo go for the KO next round (the final round).

Diablo-Charlie Round 8

Diablo comes out winging some long shots. I think his corner probably told him to go for the KO, and he’s fighting more aggressively now, working behind power shots more than just the jab. About 45 seconds in, he slows back down to the outside jabbing he’s been doing for most of the fight.

Charlie gets caught in the corner, and Diablo rips him with a couple body hooks. Charlie hangs on but doesn’t seem wobbled. Charlie mostly playing a game of keep away now. He seems content just to not get knocked out. The only two previous times he faced elite competition (against Mormeck and Julio Cesar Gonzalez), he was knocked out. The bell rings without too much going on, and Diablo probably wins the fight.

Rodriguez-Jackiewicz Round 1

Eddie Cotton refereeing.

The two come out in the middle of the ring, and Delvin seems intent on controlling the distance with his jab. Rafal tries to come in and launches a couple of bigger punches that appear to miss. Jackiewicz with a hook that sort of lands behint Rodriguez’s head. Rafal mostly evading Rodriguez’s jabs up to this point. Rodriguez with a 1-2. Rafal rushes in with a 1-2 of his own that comes up short.

Delvin with a couple of short right hooks that land lightly. Rafal finding the range with his own jab now. Delvin with a combo that mostly gets blocked. Rafal trying to keep low and find a way inside, but he’s been unsuccessful so far. Rafal with a couple of jabs, buthe didn’t give the home crowd too much to cheer about this round.

Rodriguez 10-9

Rodriguez-Jackiewicz Round 2

It’s possible that the first round could have gone the other way, as Rafal probably landed the best punch of the round, but it was the only solid punch he landed.

Delvin comes out popping off some jabs again. Jackiewicz staying so far outside that Delvin can’t quite get there, but the shorter Jackiewicz will never be able to get anything going if he stays that far outside. A couple of times Jackiewicz tries to duck in, but Rodriguez catches him. Rafal with a solid left hook that lands, and then a big jab that pops Delvin’s head back. Rodriguez much more actuve generally, but not nearly as accurate, and Rafal is landing the bigger punches.

Rodriguez back to the outside, trying to control with jabs and 1-2s, but almost all of it is getting blocked. Rafal with a jab downstairs. Neither guy is focusing on the other’s body at all. Rodrriguez with a cross that connects, and that seems to wake up Jackiewicz, who comes in and gets off a couple shots to Rodriguez’s head. Rodriguez with a few lighter shots to end out the round. Tougher round to score, as Rodriguez has the volume and controlled the action, but Rafal had everything else in his favor.

Jackiewicz 10-9
19-19

Rodriguez-Jackiewicz Round 3

Jackiewisz seems to be starting in a little closer this round, but he’s mostly covering up and not throwing. Both guys hitting the other with some jabs. Delvin moves forward with a triple jab, but it gets blocked and he doesn’t follow it up with anything behind it. Rafal with a couple of jabs and a body shot. Rafal rushes forward behind some punches, but Rodriguez backs up enough to avoid all of them.

The crowd here is going nuts. VERY loudly behind Jackiewicz, even though he’s not doing too much. Rodriguez with some more jabs. He’s be better suited to throw a few other punches at some point. Delvin with a jab-uppercut combo that snaps Rafal’s head back – probably Rodriguez’s best punch of the night so far. Rodriguez with a left-right body hook combo. Both guys trading jabs, but Jackiewicz’s defense is generally much tighter than Delvin’s. Still, Rafal didn’t land enough of consequence to win the round.

Rodriguez-Jackiewicz Round 4

Rodriguez back in the middle, trying to create something with the jab. Rafal staying just far enough outside to avoid all the punches, but he’s also too far away to fire back. Rodriguez inside with an uppercut that misses, and Rafal hits him with a quick counter. Rodriguez really keeping a nice workrate here, but most of it is jabs. Rafal is probably throwing half as much, but when he does throw, he’s more accurate and throwing a bit harder.

Rodriguez has done a great job of controlling the ring with his jab this round. A couple of times he took a step forward, but he was able to do it in a way that Rafal wasn’t able to time him coming in. Rafal with a lot of upper body movement, but not a lot of throwing actual punches. Rodriguez with a nice right hook to Jackiewicz’s body. He seems to be going downstairs more, and is having better luck with it. Probably the widest round of the night for Rodriguez so far.

Rodriguez-Jackiewicz Round 5

Polish crowd is starting to get a bit restless now. Rodriguez is back to controlling with the jab, and Jackiewicz is circling backwards and not really throwing. He picks a single shot and lands a lunging jab. Delvin comes back with two jabs of his own. Rodriguez throwing lots of ineffective punches, keeping Rafal away but not landing anything. Rodriguez takes a step in and lands a nice left uppercut to the body. Rafal feinting anf feinting over and over again, but doing nothing with it.

Rafal tries to land a right hook, but Delvin beats him with a jab over the top. Rafal comes in and lands a couple of solid shots on Rodriguez that seems to wobble him a bit. And for about 15 seconds, it turns into a war, with both guys launching shots and landing. Jackiewicz’s best round of the night, but most of his good activity came in a 30 second stretch.

Rodriguez-Jackiewicz Round 6

Delvin seems to have his legs back under him, and he’s back to jabbing on the outside. Jackiewicz seems a little braver now, and it staying close enough inside to be able to pounce when he sees the opportunity. Delvin with a combo, but Rafal turtles up and blocks all of it. Delvin with a jab between Rafal’s cloves. AND DELVIN WITH A HUGE UPPERCUT!!! RAFAL IS HURT!!! BACKED UP INTO THE ROPES, DELVIN COMES OUT FIRING AND RAFAL IS DOWN!!!!

Rafal is back up, but he’s badly hurt. Delvin jumps all over him again, and Rafal seems intent on covering up any tying up. Delvin backs him into the corner. Rafal has NO legs lefy, and is grabbing onto Delvin at every opportunity. Delvin may be punching himself out a bit, and Rafal’s not letting him land anything. Rafal seems to have mostly recovered with about 30 seconds left, and now Delvin is doing a lot of the grabbing. Delvin stays aggressive, but Rafal is ducking under his shots and clinching at the first available opportunity.

Rodriguez-Jackiewicz Round 7

Rafal looks a bit lucky to have survived that round, but he seems to have his legs back under him. Delvin’s already been stunned this fight as well, so he needs to be a bit careful. Rodriguez jabbing a little bit, but not with nearly the same volume as he was earlier. Jackiewicz seems even more tentative about throwing punches now. Rafal with a short right hook that Delvin manages to duck under.

A lot of posing in the middle of the ring going on, and a few jabs here and there. Really a recovery round for both guys so far. Jackiewicz rushes over the top and the crowd goes crazy about a punch that didn’t seem to do anything. Delvin with a bunch of light jabs, and Jackiewicz comes back with a harder shot that Delvin partially blocks. In the last few seconds, the two guys trade power shots, with neither guy appearing to get the better of the exchange. This one was more like the early rounds, and I could see it going either way. Jackiewicz may have stolen it with a couple of good shots near the end.

Rodriguez-Jackiewicz rd 8

Jackiewicz seeming to get a bit more aggressive. Not really throwing many punches still, but at least moving forward behind his guard instead of backwards. Delvin with a couple of good jabs that split the guard. Rodriguez with a right hook over the top that lands, but not solidly. Rafal junges in with a body shot that barely connects, but the crowd goes nuts anyway.

Again, Rodriguez has a lot more volume than Rafal, but when Rafal does land, his punches seem to do a bit more damage. Nice 1-2 combo by Rodriguez that’s more of a scoring blow than one that would hurt Rafal. Rafal with a wild miss where Rodriguez parries and lands a good counter shot. The two tango on the inside, and Rafal gets the better of that exchange by landing a rabbit punch and swinging around Rodriguez. Another round that could go either way, depending on how much the judges are influenced by the crowd.

Rafal comes out jabbing, but for every jab Rafal throws, Delvin throws about 5. Rafal with a strong jab that snaps Delvin’s head back. Delvin with a couple good left uppercuts on the inside, but he’s leaving himself open to the right hook if he’s not careful. Delvin back to jabbing from the outside. Rodriguez goes inside and lands a couple of good shots, but Rafal doesn’t take advantage. Now Rafal puts Delving in a headlock.

Rafal just isn’t woking at all this round. Rodriguez with a coupld of solid body shots. Rafal comes back with one of his own. Now Rodriguez is moving forward and putting together a lot of good offense. Still, nothing that seems to hurt Jackiewicz, but at least he’s throwing and landing. Rafal is barely throwing and not landing at all. Wide round for Rodriguez.

Rodriguez-Jackiewicz Rd 10

Rafal comes out trying to be more active this round, but misses with the first 4 punches he throws. Rodriguez responds by throwing about 20 jabs that get blocked. Rafal dives in with a right hook that gets Rodriguez on the jaw. The two get inside, Rodriguez gets some body work in, but Rafal pushes him off and nails him with a right hook as he’s falling away. Rodriguez with a 4-punch combo that scores but doesn’t seem to have much effect. Jackiewicz with a couple of jabs that snap Rodriguez’s head back.

Rodriguez keeping busy now, but not too much landing above the waist, and he’s not going to the body enough. Both guys simultaneously miss jabs and the two seem to accidentally end up in a clinch because of it. Rafal moving forward, but Rodriguez connects with a couple of jabs. The two grapple a bit on the inside, and Rafal gets Delvin with another chopping punch to the head. Close round

Rodriguez seems to be slowing down a bit, and Jackiewicz seems to be getting stronger again. Rodriguez has abandoned his jab some, which means Rafal can get inside much easier, and Rafal has unsurprisingly been dominating most of the exchanges that are on the inside.

Rodriguez drops in and lands a good shot to the body. Jackiewicz getting more aggressive, and Delvin is starting to try to clinch a lot, but Rafal won’t let him. Delvin complaining about the rabbit punching. Finally, he’s throwing jabs again. Rodriguez rushes inside with a couple shots to the body. I wonder if his corner told him he needs to win these rounds, being on the road. Rodriguez is being more aggressive, but not necessarily in a smart way. He landed enough more to win the round on my card, but it was somewhat close once again, and he’s leaving himself wide open the way he’s throwing.

Crowd goes wild for the final round. Rodriguez really active with jabs and combinations from the outside. Jackiewicz mostly focusing on defense, and not throwing much in return. A few jabs from Rafal, but none of them come close to landing. Delvin appears to cuff Jackiewicz’s ears, but Rafal doesn’t complain. Delvin with a great 1-2 that lands cleanly and makes Rafal take a step back.

THe crowd is making tons of noise now. Rafal just not throwing enough, and when he does, he’s not even landing well now. Rodriguez really aggressive with 4 and 5 punch combinations, and while most of it is getting blocked, enough is landing for him to score. Rafal gets inside again and hits Rodriguez with another rabbit punch. He’s at his best when he’s able to wrestle a bit and force Delvin into where his fist will go. 20 seconds left, and Rafal junges inside and tries to get in a few shots. The two tie up, and the fight is over. Both guys raise their hands in victory.

Rodriguez 10-9
Rodriguez 117-110

I suspect the scores will be much closer than I had it

There were about 3 close rounds that I scored for Delvin that could have gone the other way. Still, I think Delvin won the fight. Rafal just was too inactive in most of the rounds to take it, although he certainly had his moments.

I had it 116-111 for Delvin.

OFFICIAL SCORES

Lemme try this. Not that I understand a lick of Polish. But maybe they’ll also read the scores in English.

117-116
114-112
115-112

Unanimous decision for Rafal Jackiewicz

That 117-116 card has to have been read wrong.

WTF???

Boxing is the beginning of all sports. I'm willing to bet that the first sport was a man against another man in a fight. (Omar Epps)
