Nicolai Valuev and David Haye weigh in. Valuev came in at 315, while Haye came in at 218. Valuev has tended to look his best when he weighs in around 320, but usually he leaves his clothes on for the weigh in, so he's probably around his ideal weight.

Stephen Quadros: Where do you see yourself in three years.
Quinton Jackson: Let's see, I'm 22 right now. In three years I see myself being 25.

Lots

Just he doesn’t do road work (which would kill the knees and ankles of a guy his size), and instead swims 4 hours a day. There are a few fighters who swim instead of doing road work, and all of them look a bit soft (Juan Diaz comes to mind). But he trains just as hard as anyone, from what I can gather.

Eddie Chambers used to do the same, I think. After he lost to Povetkin, his dad went up to him and said (very calmly, in a hilarious fashion), “Fuck the swimmin’. Fuck the basketball,” and remarked that they’d be getting a little more old school training.

Damn I thought Haye would come in around 10 pounds heavier.

Thats a pretty big weight difference. For the first time in god knows who long I’m genuinely curious about who will win a heavyweight fight.

Interesting extract from Doug Fischer’s analysis of the fight. I am increasingly wary of this picks though after the said Marquez would beat Mayweather!

Conditioning: Haye is in tremendous physical shape but it’s mostly anaerobic power derived from lifting weights. Haye‘s aerobic condition/stamina is very much in question going into this fight. His one loss is the result of fatigue, and that fight was stopped in the fifth round. Valuev fights in a very slow and methodical fashion but he’s a 12-round fighter (having gone that distance 11 times) and he’s never appeared to run out of gas late in his bouts. In fact, he often comes on in the later rounds.
Edge: Valuev

Stamina is a very big concern for Haye, and it’s not just Dougie who thinks so. Even the UK press have brought it up.

It's really nice

that in the UK there is a lot of excitement for this fight. Even my mum had heard about it! Sky have pushed the advertising massively and it has payed off. It’s always good when my non boxing -an friends are discussing an upcoming fight with much anticipation.
