All make weight for Top Rank PPV
From the weigh-ins:
Middleweight Championship
Kelly Pavlik 159
Marco Antonio Rubio 160
WBO Welterweight Title
Miguel Cotto 146
Michael Jennings 146.5
Middleweights
John Duddy 162
Matt Vanda 162
Everyone on weight, everything good to go.
For those wondering about the commentary tomorrow night, it's pretty solid. The MSG portion of the show (Cotto-Jennings, Duddy-Vanda, Korobov-Jones) will be handled by Charley Steiner and Al Bernstein, while Nick Charles and Youngstown's own Ray "Boom Boom" Mancini will call the Pavlik fight, according to Dan Rafael's chat. I'm just glad Barry Tompkins won't be there, though I fear he will be there all night for Lightweight Lightning.

I think Pavlik better to watch out because Rubio's face does no lie.

That’s the look of a hungry animal.

Cotto - Jennings
Am trying to draw parallels between this fight and the Curry – Honeyghan fight in 1986 but I don’t think Jennings is as gifted as Honeyghan was who just crept up quietly then took his chance when put in front of him. Curry definitely underestimated him back then but Cotto’s not stupid and I still think he’ll win inside 2, maybe 3 rounds.

Am I the only one who gets pissed off by this 162 deal. It is not a middleweight fight in my eyes at 162. This is prize fighting. Either make the 160 or make it 168. I hate catchweights.
And Duddy wants to move down to 154?

well he did
I think the word is out that if he looks good and Pavlik wins, the inevitable Pavlik slaughter of Duddy could be good to go in NY or AC this summer. I don’t really mind the catchweights, actually. Make good fights and they can agree to fight at 161.75 for all I care.
