Diamond looking to jab his way inside on the taller man. DeMarco slings a left, Diamond comes back with an off balance right, neither lands square. Diamond is the one moving forward so far with DeMarco fighting tentatively. Right hook to the body from DeMarco, but Diamond fires back with several hard shots, none landing flush, but a few landing to be sure. DeMarco shoots a straight left. Right to the chest from Diamond. DeMarco throwing the jab, and uses it to set up a great couple of lefts and a glancing right hook. Left from DeMarco, counter right from Diamond, and Diamond STINGS him with a solid right. Unintentional headbutt right before the bell, and Diamond is cut on the outside of his right eye.

Diamond’s cut man does, uh, very little.
Sledgehammer right from Diamond, and he drives DeMarco into the ropes, where Antonio ties up. DeMarco charges, Diamond avoids it. Ripping right to the body, and one upstairs falls just short of flush for Diamond. Diamond drives him back with a potshot right, and takes him into the ropes with a haymaker right. Left from DeMarco, which is landing quite well so far. Two jabs from Diamond, who’s fighting with The Crazy Eye.
Left to the body from DeMarco, and Diamond swings a MASSIVE right hand, which falls short and sends him crashing to the mat via momentum. Diamond is really firing some wild shit so far. He might be worried about that cut. DeMarco with another left, then an up jab. Tight round. Good stuff so far.

DeMarco-Diamond R3
Diamond’s corner urges him to stop throwing the loaded up rights and start boxing. Early in the second he shows no intention of following that advice. Diamond stung on a counter left hand to the body, and DeMarco seems content to wait and counter with good shots when Diamond comes in wild. He’s showing a lot of patience in there. And now DeMarco lands the straight left again. Diamond backed into the ropes, he swings his way out briefly, and now he’s doing it again. You know I think DeMarco is landing SOME good straight lefts, but Bernstein is acting like it’s Pavlik with the straight right against Miranda or something.
Diamond firing looping rights, DeMarco hangs back and waits. Round ends. DeMarco has a small cut over his left eye.

Looks like the cut came from another accidental butt, or a shoulder bump. Cantu noted it at the end of the round.
Uppercut from Diamond, and another! Diamond pins him in the corner and tries to unload, but DeMarco throws his way out. Jab from DeMarco lands and we’ll see if he starts getting wild with Diamond pressuring. Stiff jab and a left from DeMarco, uppercut lands. DeMarco pressing now, and he blocks a lead right bomb. Diamond seems to have felt some shots the last couple of rounds, because he’s not charging with such abandon anymore. Diamond flicking a pointless jab. Well now he made a point with it, setting up a big right. DeMarco with a rally of shots, and he catches Diamond again before the bell. Slightly late shot from DeMarco, he quickly apologizes.

Diamond shooting some nice shots, though wild and will probably get him tagged on counters if he keeps it up. And there’s DeMarco landing nice shots, though Diamond avoids a couple at the same time. Lead left hook from Diamond is mostly blocked. Diamond misses an uppercut, but fires a right just after and lands that one. Another clash of heads. And then nearly another right after.
DeMarco with a left. Then one to the body. Diamond throws a left hook, misses a right. Nice combo from Diamond, with an exclamation point on a right hand. Another hard right stings DeMarco, who slips back, dodges, and fires back before the bell.

DeMarco throws the left. Tentative first minute, at least compared to the rest of the fight. Gus says DeMarco is 21-1. What’s his fucking record!
DeMarco with a right hook. Diamond throwing back in combination. Left from DeMarco meets right from Diamond — well, both meet face technically. DeMarco really hung back this round with 30 seconds left; I think maybe his corner mixed their signals and he’s a little lost. Not a great round for Diamond, but a winning round.

Right from DeMarco, but Diamond fires back with a nasty right. He’s hurting DeMarco now and I think he’s mentally ahead of DeMarco, which is no surprise. Diamond looks a lot better than he has the last couple times I’ve seen him. DeMarco lets Diamond fling off the ropes, but nothing lands out of it. DeMarco uppercut doesn’t find its mark. He’s throwing a lot and lands maybe one left out of it. Right to the body from Diamond. Left from DeMarco, right from Diamond.

DeMarco lands a couple light jabs, and Diamond throws a left hook and a right. Right to the body by Diamond, but he leaves himself out of position at the same time. Right hand Diamond and he takes DeMarco into the ropes, where DeMarco ties up. Couple more shots from Diamond. DeMarco drives Diamond into the corner, and he shimmies out. Diamond with heavy shots, and he takes DeMarco to the ropes again. Diamond is really trying to make this a brawl. Left hook by Diamond sneaks in, and he blasts to the body with a right. Straight right lands. Heck of a round for Diamond here in the final minute especially.

Arce rips to the body. Left from Vic. Straight left from Darchinyan. Left again from Vic. He’s dominating. Arce is getting hammered, and here they go. Nope, no big thing.
Arce trying to come with a combo, but Vic avoids it all. Darchinyan shoots a left but it falls short. Darchinyan with a right hook and a left, but Arce manages to not get hit square. Left from Darchinyan. Vic with a chopping left that misses. Straight left stings Arce, and Vic pounces at the end of the round. Arce has nothing so far. Period.

Straight left leads off the round again. And there’s another quick shot. Darchinyan is now fully stalking Arce and it looks like he’s smelling blood. Arce fires back with two hooks to the body and a right that doesn’t land up top. Vic with a square left uppercut between the gloves. Vic going in and HERE COMES ARCE! HERE WE GO! THEY ARE LIGHTING IT UP NOW!
Arce might have Darchinyan stung a little now. Darchinyan is tying up Arce and avoiding action. Oh man.
Arce cut under both eyes, Vic shoves him. Moret tells them to stop wrestling. BIG left hand by Vic Darchinyan. Now they trade again briefly. And Arce is coming forward again. Left hook, and now there’s a headbutt. THEY ARE BRAWLING NOW! HERE WE GO BY GOD! ARCE AND DARCHINYAN CENTER RING AND THROWING!
Darchinyan cut on the bridge of the nose from a headbutt. Goddamn it.

Darchinyan stings Arce with a left early. Arce with a big hook! Darchinyan firing back! VICIOUS left from Darchinyan! Arce is looking for the Nonito left hook I think. Vic misses a bad intentions uppercut. Nice uppercut by Vic lands this time. Heads clash again. Goddamn night of the butts.
Arce has found his macho again. There’s two hard rights and Arce is FIRING AWAY! He is leading with his head a ton. Uppercut Vic! GOOD LORD! Arce just takes it, but he backs down. He’s trying to hang onto Vic’s legs. Left from Vic, he’s measuring. He’s in destroyer mode for sure now.
Uppercut lands again! Uppercut lands again moments later. WILD left hook misses. Arce survives the round. Well this isn’t disappointing.

Arce’s left ear is bleeding. Vic warned immediately by Moret for something. THEY’RE WARRING! Arce caught in the ropes. Stiff left Darchinyan doesn’t make it through the guard, but boy did he try. Vic misses a nasty uppercut. Darchinyan NAILS him to the body. Most guys show a lot more hurt from that. Arce is still triple tough.
Darchinyan hit borderline low, but he just fights through it and ignores it, so it likely did nothing. Arce with hooks to the body. Darchinyan covering up as Arce throws. Arce backs to the ropes and throws another hook to the body, then slips a left from Vic. Vic NAILS him just after and flurries before the bell. Arce talks shit back to his corner and I think he stole a second round here.

Lead rights from Arce don’t do much. He’s really got to open it up. I don’t think he’s got enough to win a decision even if I have this closer than everyone else. I think it’s really just as wide as 60-54 in terms of how they look like they feel right now.
Vic is landing at will for a couple moments. Darchinyan taking Arce to school right now. Arce with a nice hook to the body, but it’s too few and far between for the most part. He looks tired and like he’s going to need a perfect storm. Uppercut lands again. That’s been Vic’s best punch tonight, with the straight left a close second. Darchinyan with two hard shots, Arce wobbles. Uppercut lands again. Arce survives the round. Probably lucky. This is close to ending if Vic pounces hard.

Arce throws a vicious left that Vic mostly slips. Vic to the body with a left and a right, and he’s feeling cocky. Uppercut lands again. Arce is getting hammered now. He’s about done. Vic takes him to the corner, Arce comes off the ropes clean. Darchinyan is toying with him.
Left hook Arce, but not a lot on it. Vic throws the uppercut and misses. That one doesn’t miss. Arce doing all he can to stay in this fight, essentially. He’s not playing keep-away or running, but he’s surviving. Vic going back to the old brawling ways and missing huge shots. Vic presses him into the ropes with another heavy left. Vic’s nose is bleeding.

If Arce has any plans on winning this fight, he has to make it a firefight and hope to outgun Vic mid-ring. That’s really all he’s got for a chance to win.
Arce leaning and throwing, but not much on his shots anymore. Darchinyan is kind of taking the round easy. Rough house tactics by Vic and Arce complains of being hit on the back of the head while held. NOW THEY’RE FIRING! 50 seconds left in the round. Moret warns Vic for holding and hitting on the break, and Arce for wrestling.
Nice combo from Vic with about 20 seconds to go. Left stings Arce.

Arce flings himself into the ropes after a tie-up, and Vic taunts him. Now he’s really toying. Arce sent into the ropes and he’s complaining again. Moret: “That was a punch! Let’s go!”
Darchinyan smells blood and he’s going. Arce wobbled and down, but no knockdown. Vic has 1:20 to close this thing out, and he wants to. Uppercuts are landing, Arce’s bleeding and trying to hang on. His corner should think about stopping this thing. There is nothing to win. Arce with another low blow.
Arce sent to the corner stumbling again. Arce is hurt badly and won’t stop. Someone’s gotta white flag this thing. I’m serious. This is getting ugly.
Left hand lands again, and again Arce is trapped in the corner and on the ropes. Darchinyan winging big punches, but it looks like Arce will survive the round again, and he does.

I mean I think Ahmet Ohner is a bigger dick, probably, but he makes great cards. Schaefer and Oscar at Golden Boy, Don King, and Bob Arum at Top Rank don’t even enter Shaw’s realm. Lou DiBella’s a little blunt and crass, but Shaw takes him to school in terms of dickness.
