Floyd Mayweather to make an "announcement" this week

The Las Vegas Review Journal has reported that Floyd Mayweather Jr. is about to make an announcement this week.
Amid rumors that he's coming out of retirement, unbeaten boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. has pulled out of a fundraiser and gala for the needy in Middletown, Ohio. Once a great steel city, Middletown has been labeled by Forbes magazine as one of the 10 fastest dying cities in America. Mayweather's spokesman told the benefit's organizers the reason for the withdrawal would be clear after an "announcement" this week. ...
Ofcourse that "announcement" could be anything and it might not even be connected to boxing, but Michael David Smith seems to think that it could be to announce Floyd returning against the Pacquiao-Hatton winner.
There have been rumors that he would indeed come back from retirement so I definitely think that's what he is planning to announce. The opponent though, is another topic of its own.
To make a public announcement, I think that Mayweather would at least have verbal agreements with the fighters involved, so I seriously doubt that it would be the Pacman-Hatton winner. It would be uncharacteristic of Roach and Manny's management to agree to a fight with another opponent even before his next fight ends so i think that rules them out. Mosley is obviously the fight people want to see, but there has also been 'serious' talk about him facing Juan Manuel Marquez, so that's also a possibility.
Again, this is all just talk and speculation for now. We all just have to wait out the week to see what Floyd really is planning.

i’m tired of talk about floyd. he wasn’t that entertaing to fight when he wasn’t retired….and more articles about him NOT fighting just show he misses the fame.

Wish he would have done the fundraiser.
Floyd is one of my favorite all time boxers. But to pull out of a fund raiser for a announcement is kind of stupid. I am waiting to hear this great announcement now.
