Apparently K.J. Noons' manager Mark Dion was successful in his hunt for boxing competition for the former EliteXC Lightweight Champion: Noons has two pro boxing bouts scheduled in the next 90 days.
He'll first face James Countryman (13-1) on the undercard of the March 21st "3 The Hard Way" pro-am event in Cincinnati, OH. Four weeks later, he'll take on the tough Matt "The Predator" Vanda (39-9) at the Target Center in Minneapolis, MN.

Not bad fights at all. Countryman I’ve seen a couple times and he can fight a little. Vanda is limited but certainly knows what he’s doing in there. If Noons loses to Countryman, I won’t be shocked.

I haven’t seen Noons box, but I do think his chin is suspect and he’s made his record beating up purely scrubs until now. These bouts are a huge step up in competition.

Interesting yah...
I think it will be more interesting to see top level boxers finally cross over to MMA. Enzo Mac and Cintron are the guys i’m refering to of course.
