For Your Consideration: Dunne-Cordoba
FanPost frontpaged by SC.
Where should I begin. I waited until 6PM for the Klitschko-Gomez match up to start. Finally, it started and right after the first round I no longer felt like scoring this fight. I am not a big fan of the heavyweights, but I gave it a chance and after the fourth round I could no longer stand it. The PPV fight later that night was something I was obviously not going to bother with. LIttle did we know that there was an actual fight on Saturday night that is in early consideration for Fight of the Year. That fight was Bernard Dunne vs Ricardo Cordoba which turned into an absolute slugfest. Below is the fight in parts:

This was a war
I watched live on the feed, then rewatched again on youtube and the fight was even better than when I watched it the first time. Just a ton of back and forth, drama, and wild swings of momentum in this one. Both fighters absolutely left everything in the ring. I don’t know if I’d go this far, but I saw some Irish fight fans touting it as “the Irish Benn-McClellan”.
Vogt early, Vogt often.
I also watched it again today on Youtube, and got a chance to see much of what I missed while trying to struggle through the live RTE stream. The picture kept cutting out and only the drama of the fight had me sticking with the broadcast until the end. Great fight. Definitely a must watch for anyone that didn’t catch it.
It's funny
I was trying to catch a feed all that was found was Jones Jr (No interest) and and Klitschko-Gomez which was oviously thru the tv. I really wish I could of found one for this that day.

It was streamed on RTE (http://www.rte.ie/) and I believe they also showed a replay later as well. I’ve watched a few Irish fights on there, although this is the first time the reception has been poor.
Amazing stuff, thanks
Those lads went nook-u-lar in there. Bravo.
"I want to see ocean. I want to see black people. I want to see palms." - Wladimir Klitschko
Phenomenal fight
I was one of the lucky ones, my feed was pretty damned good for the vast majority….
I wouldn’t hesitate to watch it again though, great fight.
Does the fact a boxer doesn't switch weight divisions during their career detract from their overall P4P ranking?
Cos I'd take Hagler over most heavies in history, P4P, and also over "6 weight world champion" Oscar De La Hoya, and Marvellous Marvin never really messed about with his weight, did he?
FYI
The full fight, without breaks, is available here (though you need to install a rm plugin):

Vogt early, Vogt often.
All of the above
Good on Bernard Dunne.
Mainstream is brought to you ..
Underground you got to go there...
Great Fight
Both fighters put on a fantastic show. Much better than the Klitschko fight I actually got to see at the time on ESPN. And Dunne was a great underdog bet…you know, if I did that whole gambling thing.

I honestly didn't think Dunne had a chance
Maybe a slight puncher’s chance, but he’s not a big hitter and he has a dodgy chin. He fought the fight of his life though that night.
Vogt early, Vogt often.
