Cotto-Margarito: Is It Still A Great Fight?

This is probably a stupid question, but knowing what we now know about Margarito does it make you change your opinion about their epic battle from last year?  Someone posted a comment in SC's recent post in which they said that they were "horrified" by Cotto's face after their fight, and that made me wonder if the whole plaster scandal has lessened anyone's views about that fight.  For me I really can't watch it thinking that it was a legit battle which is a shame since as everyone knows it was one hell of a fight at the time.

I don't wanna seem like an asshole

Or a racist but the people of Mexico seem to accept this behaior so that their problem. However, the only people that have acknowledged this is Bob Arum and the Governor or what ever he is to Tijuana. Those are two people and frankly they cannot speak for the entire Mexican nation on Margacheato’s behalf. I would not care for this fight, only because of what Margarito did and how he stood by his words. He shoud not only be ashamed of himself but also be ashamd of being a fighter from Mexico; a nation that has given and founded so many gifted fighters. And quite honestly, the sad thing about this… the really sad thing about this is that a lot of people or fanatics now are on the verge to predict that every Mexican fighter is cheating because of Margo and Cos actions. You know what man fuck this and I hope you get booed where ever you go Margarito. Been a fan of his for so many years and just to hear this from the start just brought displeasure for whatever he is in life with a passion.

To me, the fight was nullified. Margarito is a fake.

Of course it lessened my opinion of it, its hard to watch on what we know now, especially the later rounds…

Rematch

When his year is over, I think a rematch in New York would settle score.

Margarito's never getting reinstated

I doubt he’ll ever be able to fight in the United States again.

When his year is over he’ll not be given his license back. He’s finished in the United States. Done. Kaput. He committed career suicide.

I still look at Cotto as an undefeated fighter

As much as I don’t want to see Margarito fight again ever,I would love for Cotto to get his chance in the ring with him again so he can beat his ass. However, Margarito should never be allowed back in the position of being able to challenge anyone in the sport again. I think there are a lot of people out there that believe Margarito was cheating against Cotto and of course that is going to change there view on the fight. Real shame!!!!!
