I hope he wants to fight Paul Williams at 154 so we can witness the changing of the guard, so to speak.

I really don't want to see Oscar again

It’s not that I fear for him, he could probably still handle a lot of guys at 154. It’s just not interesting to me at all anymore. The guard changed enough for me when Pacquiao whipped his ass (there is no other way to put it, and I think even Oscar would agree with that). I don’t need to see Tall Paul beat him up.

Meh

The only fight I even have minute interest would be a retirement fight against JCC Jr. He’s taken enough punishment at this point, and he’s more valuable to the sport as a promoter now than as a fighter.

I Agree

Lets see Oscar vs JCC Jr. . Funny thing I went to the JMM vs Diaz fight in Houston and I asked Oscar when is he goin to fight Jr, he smiles and says sometime. I would also like to see PW fight Mosley or Clottey. Maybe Hopkins.

Oscar-JCC Jr. ain't happenin'

“I never say never, but this time I’m saying never, never, ever, ever. Oscar will never fight him.” — Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer, on the prospect of a fight between Oscar De La Hoya and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

BTW

On FNF, it really sounded like he was leaning towards retirement. He might have just been trying to be theatrical, but his tone just didn’t sound like he wanted to keep going.
