Rumor Mill - Tito vs Hopkins Rematch
According to El Nuevo Dia, Don King is in Puerto Rico to try to work on negotiations for a Tito-Hopkins rematch. The fight would be at 168. Link is in Spanish.
Seriously, why?
Also, other reports say the Don has been meeting with the Pretty Boy in Florida much of the week, and that he's making an all-out effort to sign Floyd for his comeback.

Tito is fucking really stupid… that is all I got to say…

hmmmmmm...
There was a lot of hate spewed in Don’s direction in Four Kings. Though he has put on some mega events, I’d be happy if he retired and counted his money.
How does everyone else here feels about King’s role and affect on the sport of boxing?
King and Mayweather together would be bad for the sport. The economy cannot handle the money these two would want.
I guess Hopkins can make easy money on Tito, thought I think the fans would voice their displeasure with very few PPV buys

The economy wouldn’t be affected because it would just be two greedy mugs making a lot of noise and not landing a fight.

But Floyd, who is one of this generation’s best boxers, would not fight as a result of ridiculous demands, and that would be bad for the sport.
Boxing needs its best to to fight each other. Yes it can survive without Floyd, but it would be better for having Floyd face other great boxers and give the fans, longtime and casual, more great fights

sure
But I don’t expect Floyd to suddenly start fighting the guys everyone wants him to face, though really he’ll have to face good opposition or he won’t get the money he wants. I mean it’s really that simple. No one’s going to dish out top dollar to have Floyd fight a B- fighter.

It seems that fewer boxers are willing to test themselves and fight the other “greats” of their era.
Or maybe I look at Floyd and wonder at all the fights that could have been.
If I was a world class fighter, I’d have to fight the best to know where I stood. I know that’s a big if.
I won’t hold my breath on Money changing his approach though.

ugh
tito is just ruining his legacy for a payday.
if he wants to fight, great. he needs to get his fatass in the gym and get down to 154 and not take one fight every two years.

I don’t think he’s concerned with what people twenty or thirty years from now are going to think of him. He needs money now.

Anyone interested in stealing his boxing license? I really think it's necessary.

Well, I think it’s a dumb fight, but I am EXTREMELY DOUBTFUL it will happen. I hear rumors all the time, but I will go out on a limb and say that this rumor is pure bull, floated out there to provoke the exact sort of reaction it is getting.

Hopkins has the common sense to know that nobody would respect this fight. I have to believe that. This fight would be obliterated by every single media outlet there is, and it’s hard to argue that even “the fans” want to see this one, because even the most diehard of Tito supporters had to admit the dude can’t fight this heavy after watching him against shot ass Roy Jones.
