I really hope Forrest fights Martinez already. It was starting to look like he was trying everything within his power to avoid him.

Clottey, 9th round TKO win. The Road warrior fights again I’m so happy! What’s with bhop? Who’s he got next? Always ready to watch evil vic fight!

I got Mora winning split decision over Pavlik. You heard it here!

I’m going to go out on a limb and pick Adamek by DD (Dubious Decision).

Johnson/Adamek is what I want to see. That’s a guaranteed war.

Funny how it’s April and nothing has been settled for Cotto-Clottey for June. Last I heard, Clottey is already training. Where are two months away and and nothing has been finalized. Just great.

I just heard him on the radio, they asked him: Who are you fighting in June?
Answer: I don’t know but the one that seems to be rumbling about is Clottey.

Sorry guys

Cotto will destroy Clottey

Agreed

Clottey isn’t as strong as he looks, and he gasses out late in fights.

pretty much agree, honestly

I like Clottey but he’s a B+ on a good night and a B most. Good fighter, deserves the fight, happy he’s likely getting the fight, but Cotto’s better than him.

its a possiblity that cotto may outclass clottey, but he ain’t gonna physically break him down, clottey has too good of defense and is too strong. I’ll stick to my prediction, but it should be a fight worth watching, unlike watching a Scareweather fight!

Oh, did i offend a scaredy boy floyd fan? I used to be one. I recognize his talents and abilities but he hasnt’ fought a real welterweight yet. that’s my criticism of him. My other home www.thesweetscience.com we call him that sometimes, but all in good fun! pc out!

Baldomir is a real welter and was the legit champ. Then he fought ex-welter champ Judah. And he went up to a weight class he had no business in to fight Oscar. What people mean when they say “hasn’t fought a real welter” is basically “didn’t fight Margarito, Shane or Cotto.”

Or anyone else of long-term consequence

You have to admit, considering what’s happened to all of the fighters he faced at 140 and up after he fought them, there are some pretty big question marks there. Other than Hatton, pretty much everyone he fought turned out to be close to their last legs.

Chop Chop Corley – Hasn’t won a decent fight since, including a run of 6 straight losses
Henry Bruseles – Fighting no-hopers in Puerto Rico ever since, hasn’t even attempted to get back to an elite level
Arturo Gatti – Turned out to be pretty well shot
Sharmba Mitchell – Retired two fights later
Zab Judah – has lost twice badly to arguably lesser fighters, with no significant wins
Carlos Baldomir – 1-2 since then, including a loss to Sugar Jackson
Oscar De La Hoya – Got destroyed by Pacquiao
Ricky Hatton – Well, I guess we’ll see what happens against Pacquiao, but probably his best win since Castillo.
