Mosley: I want Pacman now!
Looks like reports of Shane Mosley refusing to go down in weight for Manny Pacquiao were innacurate according to a statement he made yesterday:
WBA welterweight champion “Sugar” Shane Mosley announced today that he is ready to face Manny Pacquiao in the ring and is willing to meet at a catch-weight to make the fight happen. In a statement, Mosley said: “There are conflicting reports from the Pacquiao camp an upcoming fight between me and Manny Pacquiao. I want it to be known that I want to fight Pacquiao and I want to fight him now. I’m willing to meet at a catch weight to make that happen. I know this is what Freddie Roach wants as well, as he has previously stated this to press. I am the best fighter in boxing and I am ready to reclaim the title of number one pound-for-pound fighter.” Mosley last faced Antonio Margartio in January 2009 and delivered a ninth-round knockout. Pacquiao is coming off a second-round knock-out victory over Ricky Hatton in May.

Pacquio is good but
he has faced washed out opponets in his last couple of fights. He will beat Sugar Shane though, but a newer, fresher fighter might beat the Pac Man

Hatton was washed up because he got KO'd once in his career
And it wasn’t even that bad a punch. Had he not run head first into the ringpost I’d wager he would have gotten up. Pac MADE him washed up. Floyd never did to him what Pac did at 140.

He got up from the ringpost knockdown. It was the knockdown after that put him away.

Didn't remember that
I was drinking and watching from a bar in Park City on a early season snow vacation… probably why I don’t remember that one well. I do remember some rapper was in the bar cheering for Floyd while pretty much everybody else was pro-hatton. I also remember people were cheering for the various celebs they showed… then they showed dude from Saved by the Bell and the whole place booed all at the same time. Was pretty funny

I know that Mosley takes care of his body, but I those last few pounds will be killer for someone who has not been at that weight in years.

Hmm
It would be an interesting fight. Sugar seems to be a more dominate figure, physically. However, I think this will be the strongest opponent of manny’s career. They are both quick and powerful. But, Manny is always hungry. Heart trumps greed. Manny for the win.

Has Shane even beaten a quality southpaw? This fight would go the same way his first fight with Winky went. A clear mismatch.

Collazo was probably the best he's beaten
Vogt early, Vogt often.

If it’s at 143 I think Manny just beats the crap out of him. Shane would be all Oscar’d out in there, dry as a damned bone.

This fight won’t happen. Sorry. I’d like to see it, but Manny won’t risk a loss in a 7 to 8 million dollar fight with Shane that would cost him a 20 million dollar fight with Mayweather. Math doesn’t work that way. Also, bodies don’t work that way. There’s no way at Shane’s age he is going to boil down to 143 and be effective. The stars aren’t aligned for something like this and I doubt they will be before either guy retires.

A loss is the only thing that will get him the Mayweather fight
If he BEATS Mosley PBF will run and hide and say Manny ducked him to fight Mosley. If Mosley beats him Floyd will then try and get in there too.
