I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Stay the Heck Away

In honor of Manny Pacquaio beating Ricky Hatton, the government declared a national holiday this Friday and will hold a huge parade in Manny's honor. And Manny's going to have to miss it. Before they'll let him back into the country, the Philippines government has asked that Manny 'self-quarantine' for five days before he re-enters the country, to be sure they don't spread swine flu. This means he can't go back until next Tuesday, at the earliest. Manny, your reward for bringing the country great pride is to be stuck in Vegas in a room with Buboy and company for a week.

That would be really impressive if Pacquiao had swine flu when he KO’ed Hatton.

To clarify

The article said there’s no indication that he has swine flu, but they want him to quarantine himself since it takes 5 days for symptoms to show up. Frankly, I think they’re just trying to make an example out of Pacquiao because he’s a public figure. I doubt the country will keep out every person coming from the US until the swine flu passes, and if they don’t, then I don’t see how making Pacquiao follow special rules helps anything.
