"Mayweather wants to get a, pardon the expression, gang of rappers in his corner," the source said. "He thinks they can all join his walk to the ring and that Manny might be intimidated if he saw the thuggish crew."

i was just surfin the net and came across this..

not that it really suprises me about Mayweather but does he really think that Pacquiao gives a hoot about seeing a bunch of rappers walk in with Mayweather? i really hope this doesnt become a trend..

Hammer time..

Pac-man wont be put off if Mayweather walks in the ring with lions & tigers. Whats scary about Will Smith or 50cent :)? If he brought Tupak or Biggie with him then yeah i would shit myself.
Nice to hear that Pac-Mania seems to be getting under Floyds skin.

He should get the Fat Boys.

Or Lily Allen. She’s a rapper, right?

Didn’t Pacman grow up on the streets of General Santos City? If that’s the case I son’t think he’ll be intimidated by a bunch of guys with microphones and loud clothing.

I find Emminem just slightly less intimidating then Max Kellerman. Kellerman does that thing with his eyebrows that makes him look like a sinister Muppet, and there’s an off chance he actually knows how to throw a punch.

I was noticing Max's crooked nose over the weekend after he interviewed Berto.

He wasn’t afraid to mix it up at some point.

Yeah maybe… I still don’t find Max to be a particularly “intimidating rapper.” And I certainly can’t figure out why Mayweather thinks Emminem would be a threatening presence on a ring walk…. I’m pretty sure I saw Emminem get intimidated by a rubber dog once.

i’m nearly positive the “ghetto” from which Pacquiao emerged was FAR tougher than any neighborhood Floyd would like to pretend he hailed from.

Gatti. Dekkers. Pele. Aoki. Kang. Vanderlei.

Where Floyd came from does have a few rough neighborhoods, but honestly what decent sized city doesn’t?

Gossip

To be honest after reading the article it seemed more like gossip than real boxing news. I mean it’s badly written and refers to an unnamed “source”. Never a great journalistic sign.

Still this does sound like something Mayweather would do…
