Around SBN: Tottenham's Plans for Northumberland Stadium Approved

Froch's next fight will be a unification bout with IBF champion Lucian Bute, hopefully in Nottingham, in September.

From Carl Froch's official website. I'm not sure whether he's just jumping the gun here, as there aren't any other sources saying it's official (and from what I've heard, Bute's camp is still negotiating with Andrade for the next few days), but this is promising.

I call BS.

Bute isn’t leaving Montreal when he draws up to 18,000 ppl.

When you take the exchange rate and going price for tickets into account

It may very well end up being more profitable to have the fight in Nottingham. This is, after all, England’s only current beltholder.

Froch isn’t a trememdous draw in the UK surprisingly enough. The Froxh/Taylor fight wasn’t even televised because no network would stump up the cash.

The fight makes more financial sense in Montreal. As for the match up, I think Bute outboxes Froch, if it is in Montreal it will be a wide decision.

Montreal has been good about not favoring guys on the scorecards. Lots of places have that rep, but Montreal doesn’t deserve it.

I think they are too harsh on their own figthers. I remember seeing the Urango/Nodojo cards and saying… huh? Urango didn’t dominate him that bad.

The shutout card was a little off, but I didn’t think it was a close fight at all.

The thing is that Bute is a significantly better boxer… and can just outclass Froch. He will have to KO him and honestly… I don’t give him a better chance than Andrade.

Absolutely

But Froch is also a much better boxer than Andrade, and has a fair chin himself.

yeah

Bute > Froch by a good bit, but Froch > Andrade by a good bit, too. Andrade is just horrible past willpower and fortitude (and good punching power).

If it gets sealed and signed Froch will travel no problem to make the fight. He does not really care if he has a following in the UK or not. He would continue fighting away while he a title holder.
