Correct Cotto "KO" Picks: SSreporters

Congratulations, SSreporters, for being the only one to call a firm Cotto split decision. SD/MD picks are hard to call.

Correct Berto "KO" Picks: SC, Zocalo, keyz, SkeedTom, Brett87, dervish686, Full Throttle, schraubd, TXroyal, bp, Upstait, 3zilla, sigidy, Chaos100, Option27, BLee2525, Matt Miller, BrianBrock, thirdslip, jrok, BabyBull1289, Ice, 2020Proof, DRose87

As much as I wanted to like this fight (and probably many others did, too), "Berto UD" was a fairly easy call. Almost all of us got it and I don't think anyone picked Berto by any other method.

Folks That Got the Cintron Win: sonofapsycho, bazzlad, JasonTryp, Chaos100, strike4a

30 of us picked this fight. Five got the winner right. Nobody got the method, though; everyone expected a knockout, most for Angulo, and the Cintron picks were all by stoppage. The only users to go 2-0 for the Berto/Cintron double-header were bazzlad, Chaos100 and strike4a.

Picked Clottey: battle axe of doom, dervish686, bazzlad, sonofapsycho, SkeedTom, Ice

Cotto was the overwhelming favorite in the picks. This one is a tough break for the six that had the guts to pick Clottey. I'd guess most of you feel you deserve to be right, too.

Picked Urango: Brickhaus, battle axe of doom, Sickle, SSreporters. sonofapsycho, JasonTryp

Urango picks were few and far between, and all were stoppage picks.

Picked Angulo: SC, Brickhaus, battle axe of doom, Zocalo, keyz, SkeedTom, Brett87, dervish686, Full Throttle, schraubd, TXroyal, bp, Sickle, SSreporters, Upstait, 3zilla, sigidy, dinkman, Option27, BLee2525, Matt Miller, lcollins1, BrianBrock, thirdslip, jrok, BabyBull1289, missmanners, Ice, 2020Proof, DRose87

Here's the 25 of us that Kermit Cintron shut up for the time being.

Extra hassle I know...

…but would it be worth having a win/loss ratio column?

It would have been awesome if Clottely got the nod,
then I would have had Berto, Cintron and Clottely all right and officially be crowned King of the world!

I've set myself the target;

of catching Jrok by the year 2031….

Too bad I was in France and away from internet for the last round of fights. I not only missed the picks and the Cotto/Clottey fight, but also my beloved Lakers big NBA finals win. Oh well, at least I have Paris.

You should have “Twittered” your Cotto-Clottey pick, Miller. That probably would have marked the most useful application of that technology since its invention.

Welcome back, man.

By the way, what other fight did people pick for besides Cotto/Clottey? I thought I would only be two, not three wins back from jrok after missing the picks for that one.

I picked for those fights (Berto and Angulo, like jrok), so I methinks I should be only two fights back from jrok, unless I’m missing something.

Might be the Ward Miranda pick? Just a guess

Hey SC

I picked Cotto by MD, doesn’t that count?

Again thanks for a great site.

Doesn't count

MD means one judge had it a draw.

I thought so. Thanks for the clarification

I thought that was still a KO.

I asked this question a while back, and I thought the answer was that there was a big difference between a UD and an SD/MD, but anyone picking SD when it was MD or vice versa was still deemed close enough to get a KO?

I was reading back and that is the rule we agreed to. Fixed.

another question for SC

I also picked Berto by UD yet I’m not listed in the KO section. Did my picks get lost in the shuffle?

Hey SC, or everyone

How do I join this predictions game? Thanks a lot.

When there's an official picks thread, just post your picks there.

Last thing SC, promises

I think I am one win short as well. Were the picks for Ward, Miranda added to the standings after the last official ones on May 13th?

You know what, they weren’t. I’ll get around to throwing those in later.
