Vitali Klitschko vs. Nikolai Valuev? Not so fast.

From Fightnews:
Bernd Bönte, the managing director of Klitschko Management Group, has commented on reports that WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko could be facing WBA heavyweight champion Nikolai Valuev in a heavyweight unification fight later this year. "We are at the moment not interested in a fight against Valuev," Bönte said via email. "Vitali has other options which make more sense and are more intersting for the fans and the media (eg.Haye, Arreola). Valuev had the chance to fight Wladimir last weekend but he declined contrary to Chagaev. Should Valuev beat Ruiz in his mandatory we can maybe think about a fight with Wladimir or Vitali beginning of next year. And the WBA title is not a big deal anymore, because Wladimir beat the WBA champion in recess Chagaev by knockout and Chagaev had beaten Valuev. The win of the Ring Magazine championship belt means way way more to us!"
He makes great points about the lack of appeal of a Vitali/Valuev fight now as well as the irrelevance of the WBA title. Does anyone on the face of the earth want to see Valuev fight anyone? I sure don't. Then theres the WBA title which is about about as worthless as gift of sand to an Iraqi.
Update: According to Dan Rafael, Valuev's promoter is also denying that they ever agreed to a unification with Vitali Klitschko. Also, rumor has it that the WBA is going to enforce Valuev's mandatory against John Ruiz.
Of course, this entire rumor started because of something that came straight out of Vitali's mouth and something else that came straight out of Valuev's mouth. Maybe they were jumping the gun, but I feel like the denials are a little too vehement. This wasn't just some stupid internet rumor, and the way that people are denying it, they're trying to make it sound like one.

If that happens
There should be a petition to stop this.
Andy Reid is the only coach in NFL history that uses the pass to set up the pass.
I don't get it either
Let Vitali close down the circus. The only guy who would sign that petition is Don King.

Or maybe you're saying "Valuev-Ruiz"
In which case, you know… who cares? Ruiz will just get mugged in some faraway land in front in front of a crowd of rubes. No skin off my back. I’ll be washing my hair that night.

I hope Ruiz gets the W
I’d say I hope he beats him, but he already did that.

It's really sad
But I’d rather watch John Ruiz than watch Nicolai Valuev at this point. Ruiz has actually gotten a bit away from his jab and grab style since Manny Siaca took over as his trainer, and his fight with McCline was supposedly somewhat entertaining.

Why not?
Valuev will finally be taken out of the miserable “reign” that he takes most fans in, and all the championships will finally belong to the only rightful owners, the Klitcshko brothers. =)
I’m sorry, I don’t recognize Valuev as the champ…. as meaningless as the WBA belt may be right now, Evander Holyfield is the champ.
What the fuck is a "robster craw"?
Fair shout.
It was one of the worst decisions I can recall in the last few years, and there have been some right wrong-uns….

You know what...
David Haye wants a shot at the Klitschko’s so bad…. let him fight Valuev.
What the fuck is a "robster craw"?
I would pay to see that, to be honest.
Haye would decimate Valuev inside 4 or 5 rounds, I think.
We could be rid of the bumbling freak show that is Nikolai……..

lol... you're being more generous than I am...
I don’t see Valuev getting out of the 2nd or 3rd round against David Haye… just like the saying goes, “speed kills”.
Haye taking the belt could be the road to bringing back the WBA belt from being such a joke… plus the Klitschko’s would have some added incentive because we all know that despite their cool as a cucumber demeanors…. they both wanna rip Haye apart.
