Fight Night Round 4 is No. 1 game in UK
Good news for fans of EA Sports' Fight Night video game series: Fight Night Round 4 became the first-ever boxing game to top the all platforms chart in the UK in its debut week.
The latest GfK Chart-Track data puts the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 boxing game just ahead of Activision Blizzard's Prototype, which moves from its number one position last week to number two, and The Sims 3 and Nintendo's Wii Fit, both of which shuffle one chart place down from last week.
I got my first chance to play the game tonight, and I had a good time with it. I'm not the world's biggest gamer, but I do enjoy sports games, and while this is hardly a beautiful simulation of the sweet science, it's a fun smash 'em up with great graphics, fantastic presentation, and it makes for an all-around fun time-waster with friends. I'll eventually pick it up myself and see how the career mode is, but I give it a thumbs up for now.
UFC 2009: Undisputed was No. 5 on the charts, by the way.

FNR4
Looking forward to getting my hands on this game. Having recently picked up the new issue of PlayStation Magazine, I glanced at their reviews section and noticed that they gave FNR4 a 5 star rating. I believe they’ve only given that type of rating to games like Metal Gear Solid 4 and BioShock. Hopefully this will turn out to be a nice boost for boxing as a whole, and help bring younger fans to watch the sport on television and possibly go see fights in person at local clubs.

Just my timing...
Got the game last Wednesday, gotta say it’s fantastic. In my excitement for Ortiz-Maidana last week I decided to do a legacy with Vicious Victor…let’s just say my fake Victor don’t quit (although I did get stopped on cuts by Sugar Shane in a title fight). Career Mode has its shortcomings but the game is definitely worth the investment and great to play with friends or play online

You know what I was most disappointed by in my short time playing? They quit letting you match fighters past two weight divisions up or down. So I can’t be Joe Frazier and beat the crap out of Billy Dib for making me endure his fight with Steven Luevano.
