Golden Boy wins purse bid for Bute-Andrade II
I think this means it's more likely that the fight will be on a Saturday and will be in the US. The link mentions that it might be put on the undercard of Mayweather-Marquez, which would be fantastic. Interbox, whose bid was only marginally lower than Golden Boy's, has been packing the Bell Centre on Friday nights for Bute fights. Does the rematch turn out differently if it's not on Bute's home soil? (Link in French)

Bute v. Andrade
Very much looking forward to this fight. If this does get placed on Mayweather v. Marquez, that PPV may actually be the first one in a long while to have an undercard that’s just as solid as the main event. It certainly makes dropping $50 somewhat more palatable.

As much as I do like the idea, I have to wonder how impressed we’ll be with it when Bute shuts Andrade out like he was doing for 11 rounds last time.

Maybe, maybe not
I suspect GBP will try to give Andrade every possible advantage. Joe Cortez as a referee, 16 foot ring, etc.
I think it’s more likely that Bute wins easily without controversy though.

I agree with you that Bute most likely will outclass Andrade, but Andrade deserves a rematch. He exposed Bute for being chinny vs a guy who is just relentless and not perticularly skilled at all. I have to give props to Bute… most guys would go out of their way to not face a guy who was within seconds of beating me.

I don't think he exposed him as being particularly chinny
I mean, he was caught flush more than enough early in the fight, and wasn’t hurt. He took flush shots from Alejandro Berrio, who’s twice the puncher Andrade is, and didn’t get hurt. He took flush shots from Sakio Bika and didn’t get hurt. To me, it seemed like Bute just completely and utterly ran out of gas, like Haye against Thompson or Wladimir against Brewster. It doesn’t take much to get knocked down when you barely have enough energy left to stand.
I’m glad they’re making the rematch, and I do think Andrade deserves it. While I think at the end of the day it was the right call (by my relatively fast count, Bute was on his feet by 8, and the second he was on his feet, the bell should have sounded), but I understand the controversy, and some referees would have stopped the fight even earlier in the round.

Well assuming they don't have a homer ref that stops counting
When Bute should have just been waived off… Nothing is absolutely for certain. I say they make the fight 15 rounds. Lets see who wins then.
Gimme 1 round!

Wow…. this would be an unbelievablely good and important fight to have on a major PPV card. I would say that it would be the best undercard fight in years on PPV.
