Ruiz will fight Klitschko!
It's a heavyweight issue, so John Ruiz is ready to tackle it head-on. Press release:
LAS VEGAS (June 4, 2009) – If the WBA doesn’t rule in favor of a petition filed for two-time WBA heavyweight champion John “The Quietman” Ruiz (43-8-1, 29 KOs) to fight WBA heavyweight champion Nicolai Valuev for the title, Ruiz is prepared to replace injured David Haye as IBF/WBO/IBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko’s opponent June 20 in Germany.
“I am committed to fighting for the WBA title again because I am the mandatory challenger,” Ruiz explained. “I was robbed twice and I want to knockout ‘The Giant’ this time and take the fight out of the hands of the judges. If the WBA doesn’t stand by its rules and mandate a fight between me and Valuev, I am fully prepared to fight Klitschko, even on short notice.”
Ruiz’ attorney/advisor, Tony Cardinale, has called Klitschko’s manager, Shelly Finkel, to let him know that if the WBA fails to mandate Valuev-Ruiz III that Ruiz will be ready, willing and able to fight Klitschko.

I’ve actually talked to Tony over the internet before. He is a very committed gung-ho character. I mean, you’d have to be to sell a product like Ruiz…. that’s like selling a car without wheels or an engine.

Hey I'll watch
Because Ruiz can only possibly succeed against guys with no offensive ability. Plus, Ruiz has absolutely no offensive ability of his own. So… He poses zero threat to the greatest offensive skilled HW since possibly Larry Holmes… And he provides a big slow dumb target. This will be a SLAUGHTER. Enjoy watching Ruiz get pummeled if it happens.
Gimme 1 round!
Wlad;
More ‘skilled’ offensively than Tyson?
Lewis?
Holyfield?
David Tua, even? (that man could BANG)
As much as I like Holmes (and I really do), I don’t put Holmes above Tyson or Lewis either.

Tyson didn't really have any offensive skills
He had offensive TOOLS. Power, power, power, speed. Lewis was the only one I would consider on the same TECHNICAL offensive ability as Wlad and I would say Wlad is still better when he actually risks gassing and starts putting punches together. Holyfield I’ve always hated because his career was based around beating people up with that thick skull of his. Tua, again… Thats’ offensive tools not skills.
Gimme 1 round!

Tyson didn’t really have any offensive skills
I’m not the world’s biggest Mike Tyson fan but this is stereotyping kind of stuff. He was really, really talented. It wasn’t just power and speed. What could have made him more skilled? A piston-like jab? He’s 5’10" on a good day. Who was he going to jab?

Tyson was extremely skilled
He had excellent footwork, body and head movement and combination punching for a heavyweight. The problem (among others) was that his stamina was never good, so after he wore out in the Douglas fight, he started to fight a lot more economically so he wouldn’t use up energy, and his full offensive game suffered because of it. He was really an 8 round fighter the way he fought best. And this is coming from someone who does NOT like Tyson.

Punch timing, punch accuracy, handspeed, footwork, amazing upper body flexibility (especially pre-prison) which gave him angles no-one else could punch from, amazing power, great head movement, fantastic combinations and aggression.
I assume you were joking, right?

I just saw the rest of your post!
Wlad better offensively than Lewis? Wlad is so one-dimensional it is untrue.
Tua had no skills? Tua’s angles, power and accuracy were brilliant. For a small(ish) heavy, he was freakishly good at slipping inside and throwing well timed, powerful and downright devastating combinations.
Wlad, as much as I respect him, cannot be described as having great ‘skill’. He has a ferocious jab, which he mainly uses defensively (keep away from me or I’ll jab you again!!) and a very good (but not great) over-hand right. He creates no angles, there is no innovation, no great hand speed, no spontanaeity, no upper body flexibility, no variety of shots. In fact, I’m struggling to remember him even throwing a left hook. Compare that with Tyson, who could hit guys from anywhere, with either hand, and knock them out. It isn’t even a contest for me.

Wlad has an excellent left hook.
Excellent. Although, it would be nice to see it more often.

Ruiz: I demand a shot!
Brickhaus: I demand you be shot!
Wlad-Ruiz would be U-G-L-Y. Two guys whose instinct is to just hold and grab on the inside.

Ruiz should act upon his own nickname.
