Floyd Mayweather Jr. interview at BOSSIP.com
Floyd Mayweather Jr. is continuing to talk. Someone should probably step in and stop him. (Or not, since he's generating interest.)
BOSSIP: We just want to know some things about you, like how you think you stack up to Muhammad Ali?
Floyd: Look, we are from different eras. Muhammad was the greatest of his time, but people forget he lost to Leon Spinks in Spinks’ 8th bout, or something like that. We are two different fighters in two different eras, but I have never lost a fight and have grossed the most ever as a boxer.
BOSSIP: So are you saying you are better than Muhammad Ali?
Floyd: I am just saying that in this era we have similarities like, being flashy, speaking our mind and different things. This is a different time though, and Muhammad was more politically fueled than I am. I talk it, but I am an entertainer. I have never lost, Bossip, and that should be all I have to say.
- Ali was washed up by the time Spinks got to him, and then Ali beat him in the rematch anyway.
- "I have grossed the most ever as a boxer" -- no, you have not.
- "I am an entertainer" -- many people who have watched Floyd fight over the years disagree. (I'm not one of them, really.)

Mayweather
needs to realize that its less about record and more about big fights people remember. Ali fought the best and won epic fights. Thats how you become legendary. Floyd is no better than Joe Clazaghe, and I think Joe is more entertaining to watch.
Floyd would be more appreciated if he learned the meaning of the word “tact”. The guy is full of himself out of the ring and has become quite a bore inside of it. He’s become a safety first fighter who doesn’t like to take risks and, loves to handpick opponents. Robinson, Ali and other greats gave people the fights they wanted to see and weren’t afraid to take risks in order to achieve boxing immortality. IMO, Floyd will never reach their level.
Floyd’s time to be starched by someone will happen; after all, it happened to Roy Jones. Father time waits for no one.

lol mayweather is delusional.
i’m not the biggest ali fan in the world, i even say hes a bit overrated when it comes to the great heavy’s but floyd is not in the same league or have half the resume that ali has.

Total echo effect from me.

But did you really have to make 17 fake accounts to do it over and over again?

In my book, Ali isn’t even as great as some people seem to think. But Floyd is still out of him mind to put himself anywhere in the neighborhood of Ali. Floyd mentioned Spinks, and honestly that’s a lot closer to where he is at presently. Not enough big risks, not enough great fights. That stuff matters.

Hey! I’m undefeated too, Mayweather, Jr.! And that is all I should have to say. Does that mean I’m also the best ever?
(It is about the fights you win more than the fights you lose.)
Mayweather is the opposite of entertaining as a boxer. He is fundamental and precise. Sort of like watching the San Antonio Spurs. Although he is wrong, it is in his favor. He’s a boxer that fights with a beauty true boxing aficionados can appreciate. But boring as anything to the average person.
I’ll be watching Pac. vs. May, if it happens, just because I’ll enjoy seeing someone shut May up.
(To be honest, I’m here because of Pacquiao. He is the most entertaining boxer I’ve ever watched.)
*Unless KP has a secret plan that makes this statement incorrect.
I remember a famous coach once said show me a fighter that is undefeated and I’ll show you a man who has never fought anybody.

in the interview. he says he grossed more than anyone too? wtf? lol.
i think mike tyson has 7 of the 10 top ppv’s of all time. i’m pretty sure he has grossed a substantial more than floyds one big fight with dlh.
of course. hes not even in oscars ballpark as far as numbers go.

Seriously... 18
EIGHTEEN FUCKING PEOPLE VOTED FLOYD???? The guy isn’t even top 35 pfp all time. As much as I dislike Ali I see no way to possibly drop him that far.
Gimme 1 round!
People who drop in from Yahoo, I guess
