November 14, MGM Grand. Pacquiao rumored to be guaranteed $12 million, plus a percentage. Weight still isn't set in stone yet, but Cotto's trainer/nutritionist says he thinks Cotto could make 144 without too many problems. Humberto Soto and Vanes Martirosyan are being bandied about for the undercard.

Wow, this is big news!!

I have a feeling though if they fight at 144, Cotto will get slaughtered in a worse fashion than my boy Ricky Hatton did.

Should be a good bout...

144 sounds about right. I like both fighters and I think this fight is going to be a lot closer than a lot of people think. They both bring a lot of credentials to the fight and they are both capable of throwing down and boxing.

I think Pacquaios speed is going to give Cotto a lot of problems but theres no guaruntee a guy who started out at 106 is going to be able to withstand punches from a big hitting welter so I wouldn’t put Cotto out of it.

Fast precise hands vs brutal wearing down body punches? Yeah I’ll take a scoop of that. Seems like we will be waiting forever though.

Please not 144, I hate catch weights, just fight at 147, so there is at least a belt on the line.

The belt would be on the line anyway

The belt is on the line. It just has to be 147 or under.

I was hoping Sugar Shane would get the Pacman fight but Cotto makes for an exciting match up too. I just think Mosley deserves it over Cotto.

I definitely agree with that, I’d rather see Shane Mosely get the fight but to be honest, doesn’t matter who gets the matchup… I don’t see either one beating Pacquaio at any weight.

Eh, Cotto beat Mosley. I’m not saying you’re wrong, but neither of them has any great advantage over the other until you factor in Cotto’s fanbase.
