The official scores were 117-109, 116-111 and 113-113, although by all accounts Chambers pretty much dominated the big Ukrainian, scoring two knockdowns. This puts Chambers higher up the rankings and one step closer to a big money fight.

two knockdowns

my feed was really garbage…did that one kidney shot count as a knockdown for Chambers?

Congrats to him. He’s a good guy — probably can’t challenge the Klitschko’s (if only because stylistically they’re perfect against him), but definitely competitive in the swamplands that is the “elite” heavyweight ranks sub-Klitschko.

Fast Eddie's corner before Round 10 - "This is Germany, man"

Pretty much dominated is right – even then I thought they might give it to the exposed Dimitrenko who almost pulled an Ortiz mid-rounds. I still think he’s too small though – having said that, good performance by Fast Eddie.

It was a very clear win for Chambers. The judge that scored it 113-113 must have been on crack

That judge's name...

…is Paul Thomas. He’s from England. And on July 4 attempts to screw over an America. Go figure, right?

sorry...

I meant “American.”

A knockdown in the 10th

Glad to see he didn’t let this fight slip through his fingers like he did against Povetkin. I didn’t get a chance to see it but the reports are great. To anyone that saw the fight was he in better shape this time? Or did he simple know that in Germany he was going to have to go the full twelve to get a decision.

He was in much better shape, he came in at 208 as opposed to the 223 he fought Peter at and it showed, he was pressuring Dim the whole time. Absolutely dominant performance, there were a couple occasions where Dim looked like he was ready to go, but props to him for having the heart to stick it out. Also, not only was the draw a horrific score, the 116 was pretty bad too, I gave Dim 1 round and 2 would have been generous.

I honestly think he could/would beat Vitali, his hand speed would present a huge problem, but Wlad I still see Wlad as too fast and powerful for Eddie to be able to get in punching range, I think he would punch through Chambers’ gloves. But Dim is 6’7’’ and a fairly strong puncher, so who knows, before tonight I didn’t think there was a remote chance for Chambers vs. Wlad, but now the is at least a glimmer of hope I think, a very small one though.

i saw the first 5 rounds on a very good stream on jtv before i had to leave. it seemed pretty even up till then with chambers having a bit of an edge but Dimitrenko was landing right hands at will. must have been a drastic turn the second half of the fight.

I think you were watching a different fight than everyone else. What knockdown in the 4th? The first knockdown was in the 7th. I agree with sonofa, I had it even through 4. After that, I only gave Dimitrenko one more round.

it was around the 4th

that dimitrenko was landing all those right hands on chambers. he took them all well but they sure were scoring points for dim.

im gonna check the second half of the fight tomorrow. fightnews has it embedded in a post already.
