Shannon Briggs making a comeback bid, the world yawns
I guess this means his star-making turn as a villain in Transporter 2 didn't launch a lucrative acting career. On the other hand, pineapples everywhere rejoice.

In 2006, Briggs defeated Sergei Liakhovic to take the World Boxing Organization title, only to lose it in 2007 to Sultan Ibragimov. He fought the match with pneumonia, but didn’t acknowledge it.
‘’You don’t want to feed the flames,‘’ Briggs says. ``And to admit that diagnosis would have been to make an excuse.’’
This must be a completely different Shannon Briggs, visiting from the Dark Side of the Moon. All this planet’s Briggs ever does is, uh, “acknowledge” it… he hasn’t stopped talking about for more then ten seconds since the fight happened. He probably tells complete strangers about it on the subway.
"This fight'll be the nastiest thing you'll ever see. I been sober for six weeks, and that makes me vicious."

This doesn't make much sense...
But the man does have some of the most epic hair in all of boxing history :)
"I am going to give him a lesson in good behavior. First, I wanted to knock him out in the first round. But now I want to make it a long process and I want to enjoy it, and then I will knock him out in the 12th round."
