David Haye vs Nikolai Valuev May Now be In Jeopardy!
By Maria Bezchastnaya
The bout between David Haye and Nikolai Valuev may be cancelled. The champion’s manager Boris Dimitrov spoke about the complications in the interview to Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper. The main obstacle for the fight is the official WBA challenger John Ruiz who wants to defend his rights. WBA in its turn still hasn’t made the final decision on this matter.
“Most likely it’s because of Ruiz, - told Dimitrov. – He writes complaints to WBA. He’s got good lawyers. Besides, he claimed many times that he wouldn’t let this bout happen. The thing is Ruiz is the official challenger for the WBA world champion title and initially we had planned the bout with him. But as Nikolai had already fought this American boxer and won, his promoters decided to look for another opponent for a change. And now they must ask Ruiz to give away his title bout with Valuev, because in other case his November bout with Haye may be cancelled.
"The situation is unfathomable. And the Association acts totally unpredictable. Everything is done very lame. But it’s not surprising. Boss said – boss did. There were cases when they made one decision at first and then later cancelled it themselves. And now we can’t understand what we should do. Should we start preparations for the bout with Ruiz? Or for the bout with Haye? Or just to sit and wait when the next opponent is finally named officially. The situation has to get clear within the next few days”.

I’m just going to start blaming Ruiz for everything, up to and including the economy, global warming and starving children. His crusade for this idiotic whore of a belt is really getting fucking dumb. Let’s do Ruiz-Solis or Ruiz-Johnson or some fucking thing like that. Make up a “Diamond” or “Saphire” belt for it, so that John can call himself a champion if he wins.
"This fight'll be the nastiest thing you'll ever see. I been sober for six weeks, and that makes me vicious."
-- Randall 'Tex' Cobb
John Ruiz sucks!!
What part of no one wants to watch him fight does he not understand? The guy is garbage; finally a decent scrap in the HW division and John wants to ruin it. How about the ‘Quietman’ just being quiet? I do not and will not ever want to see him fight again, I’ve seen enough. Step aside Ruiz.

Nobody want s to see the uneventful John Ruiz in the ring. He’s a decent fighter at best.If the Heavyweight division wasn’t so dead, we’d never John mention Ruiz. He’s lost all of his big important fights. He’s had his shots. He’s slow and predictabe. David haye "What happened with ur sights on Vitali Klitschko’? That was the fight I was excited about. But noooo!! Here we are seeing him fight Valuev, the best novelty act since Butterbean.Nobody wants to see this insignifigant fight.Haye and Klitschko, that’s what should’ve happened. Maybe he’s scared or just building his “record” up first. The best vs best is the fans want to see.So give it to them.
