Mogens Palle - the gift that keeps on giving
Mogens Palle, Mikkel Kessler's erstwhile promoter, is claiming that no deal was ever worked out between him and Sauerland, and that he will be suing Kessler, Sauerland and Showtime for putting on the super six tournament without his consent. There's a pretty decent chance that the article was actually ghost-written by Michael Marley, but if it beats Palle's name, then it probably is more than an idle threat.

It is pretty outrageous. I wonder how much of this is him and how much is Tina Palle? It’s not exactly the sort of respect for the sport you like to see from a HOF’er. Has he really done enough for the sport that his reputation can survive this sort of nonsense?

Yeah. I guess what I’m saying is that someone like Don King or Bob Aurm may be a scumbag, but they have done enough for the sport that they can “afford” to be a scumbag to some degree. The hall has already put Palle in, so I guess its a moot point. But there are several guys in the IBHOF now that I don’t think belong there, and he’s making a good case for being part of that crowd.
