Amir Khan: America? Timothy Bradley?
WBA junior welterweight titlist Amir Khan is looking toward the next step in his career, and thinks that coming to America is the right move. He's probably correct. Maybe. I don't know.
But Khan insists his priority is to fight in America, so it appears an all-British clash with Hatton may be unlikely. "A lot of people have said Ricky Hatton or Morales, but I'm having a break at the moment," he said. "Let the venue be set so we can then talk about the opponent. There's a few opponents in mind. We are going to sit down with my promotion team and go through it." If we don't stop hearing about Khan fighting Erik Morales, something is seriously wrong with Freddie Roach and Frank Warren, and even Amir Khan. There is nothing in the world that Khan proves by beating up an old, shot, bloated Morales. It's not a contest and Roach knows it. Considering Freddie is one of those guys who has preached fighter safety to an almost absurd degree at some points (calling for just about everyone to retire after they lose a fight or hit 30), it truly bugs me that he wants Morales in there with Khan. He knows, absolutely, 100% for certain that Morales is a shot fighter and presents his man no challenge. He's looking for a name they can steamroll. That's carny promoter bulls**t. As much as we'd like to think Freddie is "better" than that, it appears he is not. Frank Warren is indicating that he'd like to see Khan fight Timothy Bradley sometime. Instinct is to go, "Bad idea," and I know what people mean when they (and I) say that, but we say "bad idea" about fights like we want Khan to take on cans and Morales. I don't. I'd rather he go out there and probably get drilled by Bradley than walk over Morales. Bradley-Khan might be more competitive than some people think, too. Both are really fast, and Khan is the faster of the two. Bradley's got a better killer instinct and underrated power, but Khan is long, tall, and has improved by leaps and bounds under Roach. I'd favor Bradley, but Khan sticking and moving and winning a decision wouldn't be the most shocking thing in the world.

I honestly believe Khan isn’t that good… Bradley might not be the A plus fighter but he sure enough has what it takes to KO Khan.
I want Khan to face um… Urango, Miadana. Torres, Holt heck even someone like Diaz, Katsidis, Casamayor (who would move up) instead of Morales.
I would love to see Morales kick his ass nonetheless… It is just not in him anymore after his fights with Manny…
"Boxing is dirty," said Casamayor. " The day I’m not ready to be a dirty fighter is the day I don’t fight anymore because it will mean that I have no heart for it anymore."

I actually disagree
I’m very bullish on Khan, maybe stupidly so. He has the chin issue, and that ain’t going away, but I think that he’d be an eilte top 10 P4P type without the horrible chin. There are some bad style matchups for him at 140, but I’d slightly favor him to beat Bradley.

Khan would dominate Urango something fierce. Urango would never get close to him.

Actually, I think it would. Bradley steamrolls over Khan in the second half of the fight. I’d rather see a half dozen other guys in with Bradley over Khan, personally.

that's totally fair
I understand this position. Bradley is without question a better fighter on our ability to judge right now.

Bradley v. Khan?
Gosh this would be terrible. If I wanted to watch people run around a small ring I would find an old episode of Benny Hill. Seriously Khan needs to keep himself and his ridiculous style over in Britannia. Also if want to be taken seriously, you have to call out people who are not fossils…

I’d be stunned if Khan beat Bradley or even came particularly close. I just don’t think he has what it takes. Roach is developing Khan’s safety-first approach, almost like he’s a mini Klitschko, but it’s not going to work against the top guys at 140. Khan’s people know that and any talk of Bradley or other dangerous foes is just that: talk. It won’t happen.
Khan is going to be milked for as long as possible. Hence the shot ‘name’ opponents- guys like Barrera help sustain the illusion among casual fans that Khan is a world-beater. Kotelnik wasn’t shot per se but matched up terribly, providing a low-risk opportunity for Khan to pick up a belt.
When they run out of stiffs to feed him at 140, they’ll move him up to 147 and repeat the process.
