Damn if they promote this fight properly they should easily make themselves a fortune.
Plus you have to consider neither Pac nor Cotto are really Americans you could easily call this the biggest international non US fight in a long time.
Pacman and Hatton already tore up the box office this year. If Cotto and Pacman do it again it’ll show international growth is where it is at as two non-American boxers light the boxing world up. I’ve been preaching just how universal and big boxing has become worldwide while shrinking in America and this would make my point only too well.
I’ve been going back and watching the past Cotto and Pacman fights and in general it’s pretty exciting thinking about the two of them clashing. Moreso than when you first think about it.
At certain moment Cotto has been that gritty unstoppable fighter and at other moments Pacman has come out and blown away his opponents. If these two really go at it at the top of their game(and they have every reason to) this fight could really be something for the ages like a Hagler vs Leonard or Ali vs Frazier 3.
I hope these guys are at their best this may be the biggest fight of both of their lives and they are facing arguably better opposition than they ever have.
In other news November 14 is puzzling mathematicians because no matter how much closer it gets it still feels like it is too far away. I will be singing the same tune ten minutes before the ring bells too.

Cotto might as well be. You dont need a passport to go to PR. The crowds he draws in NY are amazing.

What!!!
Who ever is responsible for marketing should be fired . How is it that they have Cottos’ name on the top of the banner. It should read: PACMAN VS COTTO…. TOTAL DISRESPECT!!

Serious question, are you joking?
Or do you think Manny is the type of fighter/person to care if his name isn’t listed first on a poster?

well i don’t care at all but technically it should be pacman on the bottom since he’s the challenger apparently

if you're serious...
Technically speaking, it shouldn’t be. Cotto is the titlist in this fight, not Pacquiao. If you list his fights traditionally, Manny’s name shouldn’t have gone first in any of his last four fights (Marquez-Pacquiao II, Diaz-Pacquiao, de la Hoya-Pacquiao, Hatton-Pacquiao). Oscar gets listed first simply because he was the bigger star since no title was on the line.

Wow for some reason I thought Cotto was much taller than Pac. I can’t wait for this one!

look at cotto’s shoulders compared to pac. This makes me think he is slouching.

Pretty much
When Cotto was 15, he was fighting at 106 as well. He fought Ivan Calderon in the amateurs, if you want to imagine that.
