i love the quote
Manny is going to take one of Floyd’s few legit fights away from him if he takes the Mosley-Berto winner…
-Brian
Not if Mosley wins.....
Floyd will get first shot at Mosley, even over Pacquiao. Arum effectively burned that bridge pretty good so I would expect GBP to show some major favoritism toward Floyd.

True...
But even still, at least Manny’s camp is TALKING about facing the best in the division. Meanwhile, Floyd’s dogged people for years (“everybody’s been beating everybody else up”) and is talking about fighting feather-fisted Paulie Malinaggi or Matthew “not Ricky” Hatton.
Can you guys just run the Wladimir Klitschko-Hayden Panitierre picture again?
"Gowin on fourth and 14 will punt it away. He hangs it very high, angling it for the near sideline...HAKIM DROPS THE BALL!!! HAKIM DROPS THE BALL!! Brian Milne might've fallen on it at the ten yard line! It's the New Orleans Saints' football! Brian Milne, the most unlikely hero of them all, falls on the fumble, the muff by Hakim! There is a God after all!" -- Jim Henderson

This is meaningless bullshit
“If you concede to whatever Mayweather wants, that’s giving him an edge.”
No one is asking you to “concede to whatever Mayweather wants.” People want you to compromise and make the damn fight.
“We’re bigger than Mayweather. We don’t need him.”
Really? Who offers you the bigger payday then? Why does more to cement your fighter’s legacy? You both need each other.
“We don’t work for him.”
Who said you did? Why are you making transparent straw man arguments?
“So, the way I feel now, we’ll go fight Clottey, then we’ll fight the winner of Mosley and Berto.”
That’s nice. The way I feel right now is that you and the Mayweather camp have somehow found a way to make even the most sincere and passionate boxing fans feel jaundiced and cynical. That and you sound defensive as hell.
Boxing writer: "Iran, what are you going to do when you retire?"
Iran Barkley: "Rob your house"
Agreed 100%
I’m tired of the posing and arrogance of both sides. I didn’t think Floyd and Manny not fighting would make me think less of boxing, but it made me think less of boxing
I don't really have time to get my teeth into this one;
I agree with most of what you say, but I don’t agree with the bit that says it’s a straw man argument.
If getting an edge or advantage for Floyd is the job of his team, then Freddie saying “We don’t work for you, Floyd” is a perfectly legitimate way of downplaying the chances of that happening.
Anyway, already said more than I meant to. The rest of your post is pretty accurate.
Some people are acting like Pacquiao should be expected to have just gone, "Yeah sure, let’s do something I’ve never done before because your dad made some dumbass baseless comment."

Whatever
I care less for the negotiating process and all the claims of grandeur coming from Mayweather or Pacquiao’s camps. With that said, it is good to see that either fighter may end up facing Mosley.
Mosley doesn’t have the draw that any of the aforementioned fighters have but he’s a legitimate opponent. That makes the future potentially interesting even the mega fight in March is all but lost.
