Video: Shane Mosley and Andre Berto with Max Kellerman #2
The first part of the interview was posted the other day, and we put it up here. Here's part two. I love this format.

even better than the first part
Mutual respect between two warriors like that reminds me why I tune into boxing. Can’t wait for this fight…
There is plenty to criticize Shane about....
His heart and will to fight is not one of them. The passion for boxing that simply exudes out of Shane is, at worst, admirable. Young fighters take note, when we say ‘warrior spirit’ this is what we mean…..
Careful Shane
I would favour Shane in this fight but he made the cardinal error for a boxer in that clip:He admitted he was looking past Berto to bigger things. We probably haven’t seen the best of Andre yet.
that was surely calculated to generate attention

not past
Through.

Whatever words he uses it still amounts to the same thing. He is saying his aim is Mayweather or Pacquiao and with a young hungry fighter like Berto, thats the wrong way to be approaching the fight. He should forget abouyt any other fight other than this.
Of course,i can understand him using those possible future opponents as motivation but he could be distracted. With the way Mayweather is,Mosley should just forget about a fight with him until all comtracts are signed anyway.
I'm sure all his focus on training
has been directed towards beating Berto. There isn’t really too much wrong with thinking “If I beat this guy then I’ll go on to fight this other guy”. Probably every figther does it.

It’s just something he said. He’s been around. He knows Berto is coming to fight.

Yeah,
I don’t think he’s really looking past Berto. If Shane loses to him, that might be basically it for big payday, meaningful fights. He’ll be as ready as he can be against that hand speed.

The fact that Shane said this so openly and premeditatedly is a pretty sure sign that he thought about it beforehand and is actually not looking past Berto.
exactly

I always tune in to see Shane fight. his love for the sport, his true, not simply soundbyte desire, to make fights (ahem Mayweather) is what has made me a fan. his skills ability are amazing.
