FOTY Candidate and Possible upset of the year! Carlos Tamara stops Brian Viloria on the 12th!

Just finished watching this badboy. This fight was an all out war. Viloria was getting tired during the later rounds and found himself in trouble on the 11th round. At the sound of the bell he was just trying to land something "crazy". Tamara took over in the middle of the round. The ref eventually stepped in and stopped the fight. I was a great fight. First FOTY of the year.

Good Fight

Viloria landed some serious leather early. Even though Tamara doesn’t carry as big of a punch, he applied effective pressure and had Viloria backing up for a lot of the fight. Tamara also held his own on the inside and committed to banging Viloria’s body in early and middle rounds. Viloria ran out of gas around the 7th and 8th rounds and Tamara turned it up a notch. Even though he was clearly gassed in the championship rounds, Viloria opted to attempt to continue throwing rather than clinch.

It’s been reported that Viloria collapsed in his dressing room afterward and was rushed to the hospital. Hopefully he’s okay.
