In a terrible and tragic story, lightweight contender Jorge Barrios is being charged with aggravated manslaughter in Argentina after a traffic accident that left a 20-year-old pregnant woman dead.

Barrios was apparently driving his car at very high speeds when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into several other motorists. There were several injuries sustained, including the fatal injuries to the young woman. Barrios then put his car in reverse and rapidly fled the scene.

He later turned himself in at a police station with his lawyer accompanying him. His attorney says that Barrios has no criminal record and he expects the fighter will be set free on bail.

"La Hiena" is probably best-known in boxing for his outrageous trash talk. He has a career record of 49-4-1 (35 KO), with his most famous fight being a very competitive TKO-12 loss to Acelino "Popo" Freitas back in 2003.
