Nevada takes a small step to combat PEDs

According to this article, Nevada will begin testing fighters' blood samples for hemoglobin levels. While this still isn't blood testing for steroids, it would help show if there was any kind of blood doping, or help indicate use of steroids to corroborate a positive urine test. The article indicates that it only costs a few dollars to run the hemoglobin tests, which kind of indicates that the reason the state hasn't taken further steps is because of the expense.
