Weigh-In Results: Manny Pacquiao and Antonio Margarito Hit the Scales at 5:45

Manny Pacquiao and Antonio Margarito face off tomorrow at Cowboys Stadium. Today, they weigh in.

Today at 5:45pm EST, the fighters hit the scales in Texas for tomorrow night's big event at Cowboys Stadium. Main eventers Manny Pacquiao and Antonio Margarito are fighting at a 150-pound catchweight, and it'll be interesting to find out if Pacquiao comes in any heavier than he ever has before. His highest weigh-in ever was for his last fight against Joshua Clottey, when he came in at 145¾ pounds in the 147-pound fight. As for Margarito, those around his camp have said he's looked ripped and as if he didn't have a pound to lose when he was around 154 during training, and there has been some talk that even 150 might be tough to hit for the former welterweight titlist.

The undercard, both on TV and off, features Brandon Rios, Guillermo Rigondeaux, Ricardo Cordoba, Omri Lowther, Mike Jones, Jesus Soto Karass, Mike Lee, Jose Benvadiez and many others.

Top Rank will have coverage with their Top Rank LiveStream at 5:45, while ESPN will also have coverage starting at 6. We'll have live updates of the weights here on Bad Left Hook, in the comments of this post, and a full round-up after.

Like a week ago Brandon Rios told Elie Seckbach he would wear one of his shirts at the weigh-in. Wonder if that’s still gonna happen haha.

Still waiting for this to begin. Or load. Whichever.

It befuddles me that a cartoon character like Sulaiman is taken so seriously. It’s unreal.

considering the size of jones he came in well under ….

by boxzilla on Nov 12, 2010 5:59 PM EST up reply actions

Are they allowed 1lb tolerance or did Soto Karass have to go away and lose the excess pound,Scott?

by Matt Mosley on Nov 12, 2010 6:00 PM EST up reply actions

Not sure, he might still have to drop the pound, or they might just ignore it since that sort of thing happens a lot.

Couple of minutes from the main eventers getting up there. Interested to hear crowd reaction since Rios met boos.

Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to fight, he'll just kill you.

Huh

Having read this and Taco Pal’s post re her accent, I sought out the videos of her talking, and although I speak no Spanish and don’t generally consider myself better than ordinary at understanding accents, I have no difficulty understanding her—it is true that I’ve spent a lot of time around people with specifically Spanish accents and that may be why. Still, if it’s a problem for you guys, it will be a problem for others, tho I think just a few hours with a speech coach would clear up the difficulty.
