Manny Pacquiao v. Antonio Margarito: Coverage, Links and Video for the Big Fight
One last good look at the Manny Pacquiao-Antonio Margarito fight before our live coverage tonight.
Also, a note: Tonight's live coverage of Pacquiao-Margarito will be different than most of our live coverage has been over the last four years. We will have the usual live, round-by-round updates for the three undercard fights in tonight's live commentary thread, as we always do. For the main event however, check SBNation.com for round-by-round updates, as the main event updates will come there. We'll still give brief summaries of the rounds in the comments of the thread here, as well as scoring of the rounds, but our blow-by-blow will be done at SBNation.com, where we're assisting in coverage of the fight this weekend.

More reason to dislike Brandon Rios, if that's your tendency
Evidently, Rios missed weight the first time; then, when he tried to reweigh in, Lowther’s team saw that Rios’s team was lifting him up a bit, causing him to come in 4 pounds lower than he did before. After they got caught, they worked out a financial arrangement…

Wow. That guy’s turning into a real piece of work. I wonder if he’ll explain this with “that’s just how we weigh ourselves on the streets, it’s just how I am.”

Unbelievable!
These guys must have thoroughly studied the “How To Cheat In Boxing” handbook.
They obviously didn’t read it all the way through though because i’m pretty sure the last chapter was titled “How to Not Get Caught and/or Make a Fool of Yourself”.
Rios is turning into a fast case of someone you need to compartmentalize. I love the way he fights, but holy crap.

I don’t care how he fights.If he cheats,i don’t like him.
He’s keeping great company there to steer him on the right path.
I will never look at someone like Margarito with same respect ever again.
He shouldn’t even be in a boxing ring again, imo, never mind fighting for a f****g belt!
Margo,Rios and Garcia are lowlifes as far as i am concerned and i just hope they get what they deserve.
How do you really feel, Matt?
Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to fight, he'll just kill you.
Haha
I’m just sick of ‘rito and his cronies and am only watching tonight,
1/Because it’s free over here.
2/Because of the undercard and
3/In the hope that Manny gives him a good, sound beating.
Free!!!!
Why?
And you bastards have socialized medicine too—
But Chaos wants to come here. Oh well.

Haha
Yes we have had (relatively) free medical care since the 1950’s (i think),Don.
You pay your National Insurance every month, which is just a few quid.
Sky usually show big fights on the regular subscription Sky Sports but they put big UK stars like Amir Khan and David Haye on PPV.
Even that is pretty cheap over here though,£15 ($25 approx) compared to the prices you get charged over there.
A really big fight like Manny v Floyd might be PPV over here.
Not only is that free, but they pay roughly $20 on the occasion they have a PPV fight over there.

Nice to see commissioner Dickie Cole and ref Luarence Cole are a tandem again. WTF!
Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to fight, he'll just kill you.
I'll coin it right here and now:
Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to fight, he'll just kill you.
24/7 has completed its last show. The insults have been exchanged. The apologies have been made and accepted. The training camps have now closed down. The weights have been recorded. The opinions have been opined. The hype has ended. The smoke is now clearing. LET’S GET IT ON!!
Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to fight, he'll just kill you.
Ran into SSM
And asked him if he thinks Manny can use his speed to do to Margarito what he was able able to do with his speed and strength. He said that the word is Margarito is “weak”….. As in drained.
I countered by saying that AM is a welterweight….but Shane pointed out what we already know….that he fought last at 154.
Food for thought.
Ted keeps trying to start a fight!
Well, it will be on in a couple of hours now. Interesting stuff, PP: Margo is a little beyond “ripped” to my eye—
And appeared drained, or worse, when he fought Shane—
On the other hand, I was thinking—again—that HBO might well have been playing up the Manny not ready stuff—
I’ll be interested.
P.S. From what I’ve witnessed, Rios doesn’t need to be the next anyone: He’s already an ass on his own.
