Since Dolph Lundgren starred in the hideous Rocky IV, I'm going to count this as having just enough to do with boxing to post here.

Hide the children.

I wonder if people even recognized him at the point when they cheered when he came out.

Autotune needs to die. Now.

I didn't really care...

Thinking at first that it was just another B-movie starring Dolph Lundgren… but after seeing the line-up, it’s obviously a can’t-miss. Stallone and the others have learned to act better by age, and guys like Mickey Rourke and some other good actors are there. This is the action genre’s answer to Ocean’s Eleven. I’m not a fan of the genre, but the star power here would at least be irresistible… =)

Stallone and the others have learned to act better by age

Are you kidding? Stallone peaked as an actor 34 years ago. With the Oscar-winning Rocky. Since the mid-90s all of Stallone’s performances have been built around either crackin’ wise or getting to that inevitable point where his character grows frustrated and breaks down, like in First Blood but not as awesome. ICANTFINDYER FUCKINLEG?

Yeah I know.

He has been a bad actor, but you know what I mean. Maybe what I exactly mean is Stallone (he was pretty good at “Rocky Balboa”) and others BETTER have learnad to act BETTER because they have aged…

I think I’ll still watch though. =)

I guess it might be good, but more likely it’s just going to be a bunch of insane jerkoffs jerking off.

so I hear

It’s a terrible movie. I’ve had this discussion a few times, but let me put it this way: if Rocky wasn’t a great movie, I wouldn’t care that Stallone jerked himself off with all those rotten sequels. But Rocky was a legitimately great movie, and then you have a bunch of crap with Paulie and his talking robot and, well, Rocky ending the cold war, and Mr. T.

Rocky 3 and Rocky 4 were awesomely bad

They were hokey and cheesy, but great in their own ways, I think. As opposed to Rocky 2 or 5, the first of which was just a bad melodrama and the latter of which was just atrocious.
