weight??

Anybody know anything about this kid, weight, GG history, anything? I mean being the champ of Notre Dame is good but seems somewhat limited.

Light heavy. 6 feet tall. He’s got a degree in finance. More likely than not he won’t wind up being a big deal, but I think Arum is looking to get boxing roaring in Chicago, and Lee’s a good young guy to have in the area.

I think he wants an All-American white hope for future HW possibilities. What’s more marketable than a big, white, HW, Catholic out of Notre Dame?

That could be it, too. Lee probably wasn’t an expensive signing or anything and I doubt Top Rank is banking on him being a big deal, but it’s worthwhile enough and the Notre Dame connection is guaranteed publicity.

Aside from what goes on in Cicero Stadium and aside from S. George, boxing is not a hot item in Chicago these days.

nope, but it can be, I think

Really good, vocal crowds for both David Diaz-Erik Morales and the Diaz-Malignaggi rematch. I think it could be a tremendous boxing city again if someone put the real effort into it.

With Latin Fury and Pinoy Power on a roll, he’s gotta balance it up with a new series.

Duddy, Korobov and Lee in…eh….White Pride 1?

(Sorry…)

Mike Lee is the real thing

Turn off the hype put out there by Top Rank and Mike Lee is the real thing. He is a serious fighter and has the power needed to be a real winner. Check him out at www.mikeleeboxing.com

This is just the Notre Dame boxing club

Just within the school, although evidently quite a few people participate in it.

Yeah it’s still a fairly big deal for a club sport.

Mike Lee

He’s a light heavy weight, 174lb, 16 – 0 as an amateur. I saw him fight for the Chicago Golden Gloves Championship, his win was very impressive. I see a lot of potential.
