He does go on to say that he’s not the dead guy that Bernard thinks he is. The real gist is he’s calling Hopkins a coward…for fighting him.

Roy does know he is the guy Hopkins is fighting, right?
Well, both guys have given us some good memories over the years, so I hope they can squeeze a little cashola out of this. It’s still a little amazing to me that the fight didn’t die in the wake of the Green fight, but if this is what they want to do I guess okay.

Strange choice..
Of words from Roy given that he’s clearly describing himself (as Bernard’s next opponent). He’s almost saying he’s as finished as the rest of us think. Must have a suprise in store.. maybe.

He’s saying that he’s not the dead bum that Bernard believes him to be. He thinks Bernard is fighting him because Bernard believes he’s finished. Of course everyone thinks Roy is finished, but Roy is right in that Bernard should be taking a better fight than this one.
